Rowan found it a bit amusing looking at the large snake who was always worried about him being snatched away by other Beastmen; it seemed Owen's obsession with possession was already very deep, seeping into his flesh and blood, becoming a part of his instincts.
"As a mate, I will keep the necessary distance and be absolutely loyal; you never need to worry about this matter forever." He used his hand, wet with cool medicinal liquid, to pull Owen's hand down, placing it in his own palm to rub and knead, feeling the rough calluses, taking a bit of advantage to comfort his agitated soul.
His heart was filled to the point of scalding hot by Owen; that the clumsy large snake could change his way of thinking so much was something he hadn't dared to think about. Originally, he had prepared himself to be rejected because of the snake species' solitary nature, and then he would find another, more roundabout path to achieve the same goal.
