Queen stood before Kaidou with a hint of urgency on his face. He had just witnessed both King and Bullet receiving missions to set sail, leaving him as the only one sidelined. This made him feel unbalanced—as one of the four All-Stars of the Beasts Pirates, he had no intention of falling behind the others in bounty.
"Big Brother Kaidou," Queen stepped forward, his voice tinged with clear impatience, "They've both gone out, so what about me?" His sudden enthusiasm wasn't without reason; he knew that after King and Bullet completed their missions, their bounties would skyrocket. If he remained inactive, he feared he would become the All-Star with the lowest bounty—an utterly unacceptable prospect, especially since he believed his strength was on par with the other three.
Kaidou burst into laughter upon hearing this: "Worororo, don't rush, of course you have a mission too." He paused briefly before continuing, "As it happens, Charlotte Linlin called me yesterday and said a fleet from the Flying Pirates has set their sights on the Kingdom of Kest. That country flies the flag of the Big Mom Pirates, so Linlin asked us to send reinforcements. You'll handle this matter alongside Kuzan, Cedric, and Pellic."
Hearing this arrangement, Queen immediately perked up. He straightened his back and declared loudly, "Don't worry, Big Brother Kaidou! I'll make sure the name 'Plague Calamity' resounds throughout the entire New World!" Excitement gleamed in his eyes, clearly looking forward to this opportunity to prove his strength.
With Kaidou's order issued, the entire Beasts Pirates in Wano Country entered a state of combat readiness.
After prolonged recruitment efforts, the Beasts Pirates had now grown to a force of over eight thousand members. For this expedition, more than three thousand elite pirates were mobilized, and a massive fleet was busily making final preparations for departure. Such a large-scale military movement sent shockwaves throughout Wano Country.
"Brother, what's going on? Why are so many people loading supplies onto the ships?" Rosinante stood at the docks of Oni Island, watching the pirates coming and going with curiosity.
"Idiot, isn't it obvious? The Beasts Pirates are preparing for an expedition," Doflamingo stood beside his younger brother, his tone carrying a hint of disdain.
"I'm so envious they get to go out to sea and fight! This operation will surely spread the Beasts Pirates' fame across the entire ocean!" Karuri gazed at the distant pirate ships, his eyes shining with longing.
"Hmph! My strength is clearly superior to those Headliners, so why aren't I allowed to participate?" Enel complained indignantly from the side.
"There's no helping it. Governor Kaidou has ruled that only adults can officially set sail," Diamante explained.
"Then why can Bullet go? He hasn't come of age this year either!"Enel retorted unwillingly."
Everyone fell silent at this. Although Bullet was indeed still a minor, his strength already ranked among the top tiers within the Beasts Pirates. Kaidou's appointment of him as an All-Star fully demonstrated recognition of his capabilities.
"Just wait and see, one day I'll become one of the All-Stars too!" Enel loudly declared his ambition.
Faced with such bold words, his companions didn't mock him but instead looked at Enel with envy. After all, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit he had eaten was incredibly powerful. Currently in the Beasts Pirates, aside from Kaidou himself, only a few All-Stars could suppress Enel. And even for the All-Stars, subduing Enel wasn't easy because the Rumble-Rumble Fruit granted him astonishing mobility - only King in the entire pirate crew could barely keep up with his speed.
"Enel, I really envy you. I wish I could have an ability like the Rumble-Rumble Fruit too," Karuri sighed sincerely.
"Yahahaha, of course! The Rumble-Rumble Fruit is the strongest - Kaidou himself bestowed it upon me. You guys won't get the chance even if you want it," Enel laughed triumphantly.
"Don't even mention the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. I asked Captain Kaidou before, and now the Beasts Pirates' warehouse only has a few Ancient Zoan Devil Fruits left, not even any Mythical Zoans. I wonder if we'll be able to get a Mythical Zoan when we come of age," Doflamingo said thoughtfully.
After two years of experience, with his mother not yet deceased and his personality not drastically changed, Doflamingo had spent over half a year interacting with peers his age. Under Kaidou's "proper" guidance, although he had a strong desire for power, he was still generally a normal child.
"Hey, what are you kids thinking about? Zoan-Type Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits are even rarer than Logia Types. How could you possibly get one so easily?" Ginny, who was talking with Kuma, couldn't help interrupting when she heard the children's conversation.
As the intelligence captain of the Beasts Pirates, skilled in eavesdropping and communications, Ginny reported directly to King and Kaidou.
Faced with Ginny's words, the children all showed expressions of "you're lying."
"Alright, although I don't know how that guy Kaidou managed to collect so many Mythical Zoans. But it's true that there's always been a rumor on the seas that Mythical Zoans are rarer than Logia Types," Ginny said, her tone becoming less certain as she saw the children's doubtful looks.
Intelligence gathered over the years showed that Logia Type Devil Fruits were indeed few and far between. But Mythical Zoans? The Beasts Pirates alone had five Mythical Zoan users, the Whitebeard Pirates had one half a year ago, plus the Marine Admiral seemed to be a Mythical Zoan user too. Ginny wasn't sure anymore which type of Devil Fruit was truly rarer.
"Don't even talk about Mythical Zoans - I'd be thankful to heaven and earth if I could get an Ancient Zoan," Kyros said.
"As for Ancient Zoans, Kyros, you still have hope. You're 14 this year, with three years until adulthood, and currently the Beasts Pirates' warehouse still has two Ancient Zoan Devil Fruits. Plus the captain has been offering high bounties for Zoan-Type Devil Fruits in the underworld - you might still have a chance when you come of age," Ginny said.
"Really? That's wonderful," Kyros said happily upon hearing this.
"Tch—!" Doflamingo on the side let out a contemptuous click upon seeing Kyros so easily satisfied. As a former Celestial Dragon, his goal was the noble Mythical Zoan—though a Logia Type would be acceptable too. Hmm, Doflamingo suddenly recalled that earth-shattering battle from half a year ago and added that a powerful Paramecia would also suffice.
At the dock, pirates were still busily transporting various supplies. Weapons, ammunition, food, medicine, and other essential combat materials were continuously loaded onto the warships. The flags of the Beasts Pirates fluttered sharply in the wind atop every vessel.
