Gloomy!
Silent!
Only the rustling sound of the God Tree's continuous writhing broke the stillness!
As the Infinite Tsukuyomi was unleashed, the entire world transformed into a realm of dead silence.
Aside from Allen, Neji, Karin, Obito, and the three giant silver wolves connected to Allen via Spirit Bond, everyone else had been hoisted up by the God Tree one by one, turning into energy sources to provide Chakra.
It is important to remember that before Kaguya consumed the Chakra Fruit, this world had no such thing as Chakra, nor was there anyone capable of refining it.
It was only later, after the Sage of the Six Paths, Hagoromo, defeated his mother and founded Ninshu, that he distributed the media capable of refining Chakra within the God Tree to his disciples and two sons. He did his utmost to return the life energy Kaguya had previously plundered from this planet.
Because of this, numerous clans capable of using this energy eventually emerged, ultimately leading to the rise of the shinobi profession.
To put it simply, this was a process of alien technology diffusing among the local inhabitants.
Unfortunately, the Sage of the Six Paths was a mere user who did not understand the underlying principles of the God Tree, that powerful energy collector. He could only manage to split it into nine Tailed Beasts, hoping to prevent this indestructible device from ever being resurrected.
Regrettably, he likely never dreamed that all his efforts would eventually vanish like bubbles.
And the ones destroying it all were none other than his own two biological sons: Indra and Asura. The two brothers had come to blows merely over the dispute of who would inherit Ninshu, staging a grand tragedy of fratricide.
Thus, the Infinite Tsukuyomi was, in reality, a process to reclaim all the Chakra stripped from Kaguya's body, eventually reaching the point where this female alien's physical form could be resurrected.
"Is this the Infinite Tsukuyomi? What a terrifying sight!" Neji murmured in a voice only he could hear.
Despite having heard Allen's verbal descriptions, seeing it with his own eyes still left him profoundly shaken.
Powerful!
Simply too powerful!
He couldn't imagine how terrifying a person would be if all this Chakra were concentrated into a single individual.
On the other side, Karin also instinctively clenched her fists, so nervous she was unable to speak.
"Hahahaha! Do you see? This is the perfect world I desire to build! No conflict! No worries! Everyone is immersed in a world of their own!"
Standing beneath the crimson moonlight, Madara spread his arms and let out a manic laugh.
But Allen sneered with mocking contempt: "Indeed. Once humanity is extinct, there will naturally be no conflict or worry.
"I wonder if you've considered this: if everyone is immersed in the illusion of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, how are they supposed to procreate?
"Even if they could, how would you educate those newborn infants who have no sense of right and wrong, no values, and not even a sense of self?
"In a false world devoid of labor and creation, how are society and civilization supposed to progress?
"You think this is a perfect world?
"No! This is nothing more than the ultimate form of escapism.
"Admittedly, war means pain, death, and sorrow for most ordinary people, but for a civilization, it signifies competition and progress.
"Humans are contradictory and unique creatures; only under pressure and competition will they strive with all their might to explore unknown territories, constantly inventing and creating new things.
"But now, you want to stifle that competition and creativity.
"Tell me, Madara-san, how do you plan to solve these dilemmas?"
Hearing this barrage of questions, Madara's expression instantly turned grim. Forget providing an answer; he hadn't even given it a thought.
There was no helping it.
For a shinobi like him who had lived through the chaotic Warring States Period, being literate and understanding basic arithmetic was already quite an achievement. Even later, among the graduates of the Ninja Academy, most were illiterate or semi-illiterate; academic overachievers like Sakura or Shikamaru were absolute rarities.
Furthermore, because they constantly needed to fight for their lives, shinobi spent the vast majority of their time and energy on improving their combat capabilities rather than studying profound theoretical knowledge.
It could be said that from the Kage of a village down to the students who hadn't graduated yet, almost every single one of them suffered from a severe lack of basic social science knowledge.
Taking in Madara's face, which was twisted more than if he were suffering from severe constipation, Allen finally couldn't help but laugh: "Hehe, exactly as I expected, you haven't considered it at all. I truly can't believe you'd rather trust some information left by who-knows-who on a stone tablet than use your own brain to think things through. What's even more ridiculous is that you actually put it into practice. Should I praise your initiative? Or should I mock your stupidity?"
"Just who are you?"
After a long silence, Madara finally snapped his head up, a terrifying, murderous glint flashing in his eyes.
"Me? I am merely a traveler on the path to seeking power, occasionally stopping to appreciate the scenery along the way and doing what I believe to be right," Allen replied nonchalantly.
"A traveler?"
Madara undoubtedly sensed the subtlety of that word.
Just as he was about to press further, Obito finally couldn't restrain his intense desire for vengeance any longer. He abruptly activated Kamui and pierced his enemy's heart from behind.
Puchi!
Accompanied by a spray of gushing blood, the avenger finally roared at the top of his lungs: "How does it feel? Madara!"
"Wha... What?"
Madara whipped his head around, somewhat unable to believe that Obito would suddenly launch a sneak attack at this moment.
"For Rin!" Obito stated his reason for acting without hesitation.
"You knew? Since when!" Madara instinctively cast his gaze toward Black Zetsu.
Because when they were plotting this, only the two of them knew.
But unfortunately, Black Zetsu had currently focused all his attention on the massive amount of extracted Chakra, having no intention of paying Madara any mind.
Quite the contrary. If the amount of Chakra weren't still insufficient, he would have been the one to strike.
"Before you were reincarnated through Reanimation! Not just me, the entire Akatsuki already knew of your conspiracy. The reason we didn't expose it was simply to pursue a greater goal."
As Obito spoke, he slowly withdrew his arm, which was unstained by even a single drop of blood.
Under the empowerment of the dual Mangekyo Sharingan, even with Madara's current powerful regenerative abilities, he was still unable to heal the large hole in his chest.
This was because the space at the edges of the wound was being continuously severed; regenerated cells simply couldn't fill the void.
Clearly, after obtaining both eyes, Obito had been constantly experimenting and practicing, eventually developing an attack method that even Six Paths Madara was powerless against.
Revenge!
That was the entire meaning of his existence!
While he couldn't truly kill Madara yet, it was no problem to let the mastermind behind Rin's death suffer a little.
