Clint shook his head lightly.
"Small matters," he repeated. "Your definition of small is very different from mine."
Ethan simply shrugged.
"well, if any major problem arrives, I will call you guys" he said as Storm and others nodded.
Ethan looked at them one last time.
"Train properly," he said. "I'll see you later."
With that, he raised his hand and formed a portal. A golden circle spun open in the air.
He stepped through it and disappeared.
A moment later, Ethan stepped out of another portal inside his mansion in New York.
The golden circle closed behind him.
"Ah… this is really convenient," he muttered to himself. "Now I can save a lot of time on travel."
He leaned back slightly.
"Though I could have done something similar with Quan Chi's teleportation magic," he added.
Ethan walked into the living room and sat down on the sofa.
Several maids nearby looked surprised by his sudden appearance.
One of them had been vacuuming the floor, while another was arranging items on a table.
They paused when they saw him.
Ethan waved his hand casually.
"Go on with your work," he said.
They nodded quickly and returned to what they were doing, continuing their cleaning as if nothing unusual had happened.
"Now, time to see what this is about," Ethan muttered as he opened his system interface.
He had received a notification earlier after picking the artifact from Kamar-Taj, but he had ignored it at the time.
A blue window appeared in front of him.
[Congratulations on completing the Hidden Quest: Mystical Artifact]
[Reward: Universal Gacha]
Ethan leaned back slightly on the sofa and grinned.
"Good."
Without hesitation, he activated the reward.
A spinning interface appeared in front of him, filled with countless symbols and names flashing past too quickly to read.
The wheel slowed.
Then stopped.
A new notification appeared.
[You have obtained: Jack the Ripper – Max Level]
Ethan blinked once.
"Jack the Ripper…?"
Memories surfaced immediately.
The infamous cyborg warrior from Metal Gear Solid—also known as Raiden (Metal Gear).
For a moment, the room was silent.
Then Ethan's grin widened.
"Well," he murmured. "That's… actually very good."
Another notification appeared.
[Integration Available]
[You may deploy the unit or integrate abilities.]
Ethan rested his chin on his hand, thinking.
"Hmm… so I can integrate his abilities or even summon him," Ethan muttered.
He thought about it for a moment before making a decision.
"It's better to summon him," he said quietly. "Having another strong fighter is always useful."
He selected the Summon option.
The system window glowed.
A circle of light appeared on the floor in front of him. Unlike the golden mandalas of Kamar-Taj, this one looked mechanical—lines of data and sharp geometric patterns rotating like a digital seal.
Energy gathered in the center.
Then a figure slowly formed.
First the outline.
Then the armor.
Finally, the glowing visor.
A tall cyborg stepped out of the fading circle.
White armor plates covered most of his body, with mechanical joints and a long high-frequency blade sheathed behind his back. His single red eye visor flickered once as his systems activated.
He looked around the room briefly before his gaze settled on Ethan.
Then he lowered his head slightly.
"Unit online," he said in a calm mechanical voice.
"I am Jack."
Ethan leaned back on the sofa, observing him carefully.
Even standing still, the cyborg gave off a dangerous presence.
"Welcome to the team, Jack," Ethan said.
Jack nodded once.
"Here is everything you need to know," Ethan added.
He took out a small memory chip and tossed it toward Jack.
Jack caught it easily and inserted it into the port on the side of his head. His systems processed the data rapidly.
Information about the world, current technology, global powers, Ethan's organization, and the situation around them flowed into his memory.
A few seconds later, Jack looked back at Ethan.
"Data received," he said.
Ethan leaned back slightly.
"Also, do you want me to give you a human body with nanites inside it instead of this half-human, half-robot body?" Ethan asked. "I can do that. It would make you more powerful and also more human."
Jack was silent for a moment, considering the offer.
His mechanical eye dimmed slightly as his internal processors analyzed the option.
"A full biological body enhanced with nanites would increase adaptability and recovery," he said. "However, this current body is optimized for combat."
Ethan shrugged.
"I can make one that's better in both aspects."
Jack looked down at his metal hand for a moment.
Then he raised his head again.
"If the combat capability will not decrease," he said, "I accept the upgrade."
Ethan smiled slightly.
"Good answer."
"Alright then, let's go get it done," Ethan said as he stood up.
Jack followed behind him.
Soon they arrived at Ethan's advanced laboratory in the basement of the mansion. The room looked like something from a science-fiction facility—machines, screens, and several medical pods lined along the walls.
Ethan walked toward one of the pods and opened it.
"Step inside," he said.
Jack entered the pod without hesitation.
Ethan activated the system and looked at him through the glass.
"Okay, I'm going to insert nanites into your body," Ethan explained. "They will spread through your entire system and replace the remaining robotic components."
With the Far Zenith nanite technology he possessed, this process was something he could perform quite easily.
"Now let's get started," Ethan muttered.
He began operating the console beside the pod.
Several thin needles extended from the sides of the chamber and injected microscopic nanites into Jack's bloodstream.
The machines hummed softly as Ethan carefully adjusted multiple settings.
He was adding many layers of control protocols and safety systems so Jack's new body could replicate the capabilities of his previous cybernetic body perfectly—without losing any performance or combat efficiency.
Inside the pod, faint silver light spread under Jack's skin as the nanites began their work.
They moved through his muscles, nerves, and bones, restructuring everything at the microscopic level.
Ethan watched the monitors closely.
"Good Its perfectly working," he nodded seeing this.
