I walked out of Judy's office, closing the door softly behind me. The open-plan area outside was suddenly quiet, too quiet.
Every man looked at me as if I had done something they had all wished to do for years. Some glared, older ones with tight jaws, younger ones with clenched fists, looking ready to punch me.
The women at their desks stopped typing mid-sentence, fingers hovering over their keyboards, absently tucking hair behind their ears as they watched me pass. Some offered shy, lingering smiles, while others bit their lips or shifted subtly in their chairs.
They had all heard Judy's moans through the thin walls. They knew exactly what had happened in there, and jealousy burned in every stare.
I ignored them completely and headed straight for the elevator. The doors opened, and I stepped inside, pressed the ground-floor button, and let them close on their envious faces, a smirk playing on my lips.
