I'll probably start writing again, lol. The main reason I haven't been writing over the past month is simply because... I was frustrated.
To be honest, the core focus of this fanfic has shifted a lot. For readers who pay close attention to details, it's probably really annoying because the MC doesn't actually have much character development (and I'm a detail-oriented person myself, lol). The thing is, my writing skills just aren't good enough yet to execute that kind of growth well. Frankly, I've thought about dropping this fic multiple times, mostly because writing it wasn't as fun as it used to be.
On top of that, tying this fic to Pokémon might have backfired. I haven't been able to explore or flesh out the Pokémon elements as much as I wanted, which limited my ideas. Combined with my lack of skill, things were just spiraling downhill.
However, after taking a month-long break to enjoy my hobbies-reading webnovels, manga, and manhwa-a manhwa called Jobless Gye Baek-sun gave me a ton of inspiration. It taught me that an author should write what they love, not just what they think others want to read.
So yeah, my apologies to anyone who picked up this fic solely for Pokémon, but moving forward, I'll be weaving in more elements from other media, and the system will start giving non-Pokémon rewards as well.
Don't worry though, since Pokémon is literally in the title, I'm not throwing it out the window, lol. It'll still be the foundation of Cedric's power, but he'll also gain powers from other fiction works.
So... yeah, that's pretty much it. Thanks to everyone who stuck around and keeps supporting this fic. And to those who dropped it, thank you too, even if you didn't end up liking the story, seeing the number of reads go up from your reads still made me genuinely happy.
And oh, I'm only changing rewards from System. The fic itself will still mainly revolve around ZZZ for now. There won't be random characters from other works suddenly popping up out of nowhere.
