Zion dusted off his hands and continued.
"If you want fish, you can spend all day chasing them through a river. Or you can place bait in the water and let the fish come to you. My sister hates wasting time. Instead of searching for beasts in the darkness, she wants the beasts to come searching for us."
Understanding gradually dawned on Lucian's face.
"Ah..."
He looked toward Noah again.
Now that he thought about it, the plan was simple.
Dangerous.
But simple.
Embarrassment immediately spread through him.
Lucian was not the type of person who apologized easily. His pride was far too stubborn for that. Even when facing Kiara, he would rather argue for hours than admit fault immediately.
Yet Noah was different.
More importantly, Noah was Zion's brother.
After hesitating for several moments, Lucian lowered his head slightly.
"Sorry," he said awkwardly. "I didn't think it through. I spoke too quickly."
