Unlike the enthusiastic spectators, however, Kiara's expression remained calm.
To her, Yasmine was neither a beauty nor a genius.
She was simply the next obstacle standing between her and the championship.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
As soon as both contestants reached their positions, Kiara pulled out the rocket launcher.
The familiar weapon immediately drew murmurs from the crowd.
Yasmine glanced at it and laughed softly.
There was no nervousness in her expression.
If anything, she looked relieved.
"You know that thing won't work against me, right?" she said while pointing toward the weapon. "Even if it explodes, the damage won't be enough. And I'm a water and light attribute Spirit Warrior."
Kiara smiled.
The smile was small.
Calm.
Dangerously calm.
"Then I suppose," she replied, "it will be very embarrassing when you lose to nothing except this weapon."
The words struck like a slap.
Yasmine's smile twitched.
A flicker of irritation appeared in her eyes.
