Kiara waved her hand dismissively.
"Of course not, Your Highness. That weapon will require at least a few more weeks before the prototype is ready. But if you are interested, I can ask my manufacturers to speed up the process."
Magnus nodded slightly.
Then his eyes returned to the rifle. "May I hold it?"
Kiara gestured toward the weapon.
Magnus stood up and walked around the table.
He lifted the rifle carefully.
His arms immediately felt the weight.
"It's heavy for plainfolk."
Kiara pointed toward the small mount attached beneath the barrel. "That is why the weapon uses a stand."
Magnus placed the rifle back down slowly.
"Let's not rush with these advanced firearms."
"It was only recently that my men began training with small ones."
"I will examine this weapon properly next week when I visit the Imperial City."
Kiara felt a small wave of disappointment.
The deal had slipped away.
