Chapter 745 - The Emperor Who Walks With Gods

The void beyond existence did not close.

It simply stopped mattering.

And from it, Kael Veyris returned. The moment Kael stepped into his domain, reality adjusted itself automatically.

Not out of fear.

Not out of obedience.

But out of recognition.

The Veyris Empire stretched across layered realities floating citadels, abyssal seas, star-temples, and cities built on stabilized narrative frameworks.

Everything paused the instant he arrived.

Courtiers bowed without command.

Guardians lowered weapons they didn't realize they had raised.

Even the sky itself dimmed respectfully. But Kael was not alone.

Behind him

the space between dimensions opened again.

And they followed.

Not one.

Not two.

But several presences that should never casually enter a governed empire.First came Yog-Sothoth.

Her rings of cosmic law rotated slowly as she stepped into the empire's boundary, observing how its structure attempted to categorize her and quietly gave up.

Then Nyarlathotep followed, her crimson-violet starlight bleeding softly into imperial skies like elegant contradiction made real.

Then Shub-Niggurath, whose presence caused reality itself to feel more alive, as if the empire had suddenly begun growing in places it had never considered before.

And lastly

Thyssarae, Void-Crowned Devourer, appearing like a thought the universe briefly forgot to reject.

Wukong appeared beside Kael instantly.

So this is your home?

He looked around.

Yeah. That tracks. Every citizen, every soldier, every divine entity within the empire felt it.

Not danger.

Not invasion.

But pressure from overlapping infinities.

A single whisper spread across the empire:

Why are gods following the Emperor like guests? Kael did not stop.

He simply walked.

The Eldritch gods followed.

Not as invaders.

Not as rulers.

But as observers of something they found… unusually stable.

Nyarlathotep spoke softly as she walked.

Your empire is structured differently than expected.

Kael replied:

It is meant to remain stable under contradiction.

Shub-Niggurath observed the living architecture.

It adapts.

Kael nodded.

Yes. Within the Grand Hall of the Veyris Empire

the highest councils gathered instantly.

Some panicked.

Some fell silent.

Some simply accepted that reality had escalated again.

A general whispered:

The Emperor has returned.

Another answered:

With eldritch gods behind him.

A long pause.

Do we bow to them?

We bow to him. Kael entered the central throne chamber.

The empire's core stabilized instantly at his presence.

Behind him:

Yog-Sothoth observed the structural design

Nyarlathotep studied the narrative flow of governance

Shub-Niggurath subtly influenced growth within the empire's living systems

Thyssarae looked amused at everything

Wukong leaned toward Kael.

Your house guests are terrifying.

Kael replied calmly:

They are not guests.

Wukong blinked.

Then what are they?

Kael looked forward.

Following entities.

Wukong sighed.

That's worse. Nyarlathotep tilted her head slightly.

This empire is unusual.

Yog-Sothoth responded:

It does not collapse under presence overload.

Thyssarae smiled faintly.

It learns from contradiction instead of resisting it.

Shub-Niggurath added quietly:

It grows stronger simply by existing near us.

Kael remained still.

Listening.

Not reacting.Slowly

the Veyris Empire stopped fearing the presence of eldritch gods.

Because nothing collapsed.

Nothing ended.

Nothing broke.

Instead

the empire simply expanded its understanding of what "normal" meant.Kael Veyris stood at the center of his empire.

Behind him stood forces that once defined the limits of existence itself.

Beside him stood Sun Wukong, watching everything with amused disbelief.

And for once

the concept of "home" did not feel small.

It felt infinite enough to accommodate everything that chose to follow him.
