Today was the final day of Cain's entrance exam, the exam to advance from elementary school to middle school.
Just as promised, Thora and Saphen came to the school today to pick Cain up.
Cain finished the exam without even knowing what nervousness or fear felt like, unlike the others. He even completed it very early. It was just that Saphen had repeatedly reminded him that even if he finished early, he was not allowed to submit ahead of time and had to carefully check his answers. Because of that, Cain never left the examination room earlier than anyone else.
At last, the final dismissal bell rang. At this age, aside from a few classmates who were constantly anxious about their grades, most of the students were cheerful and relaxed, not worried at all about the possibility of repeating a year.
Cain carried his backpack as he walked outside, his eyes unconsciously scanning the surroundings. Saphen had said he would come pick him up today.
"Cain, over here!"
