CHAPTER-
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen!" Nami cheered.
"Greetings." Xiang spoke.
""Rank one are joining us! Since we did similar first lessons. and we're both water, we decided to do a group test!!" Nami squeaked.
"You'll be fighting against classes." Kasem said.
"Water vs earth in a way," Hoa said.
"You'll be given two flags, you have to protect it for 30 minutes." Xiang swung her umbrella to the side. "No serious injuries or aggressive magic."
"You may all begin!" Nami said.
"Yo!!! Rina!!" Thalia waved her hands "we're here!!"
"Nerina!!" Ravi jumped trying to catch her attention.
"Thalia, Ravi!" I smiled. "Coming!" I said running to them.
"Oh Rina, I've missed you, it was so boring without you" Thalia cried.
"Ahem!" Ravi glared.
"Oh yeah and you. I missed you to I guess" Thalia said tapping his back. "Anyway Rina, I can't wait for us to use our magic!"
"You're acting like we haven't seen each other in centuries." I rolled my eyes. "We saw each other an hour ago"
"An hour is a century dear." Thalia touched her forehead dramatically.
"Can we go?" Ravi said.
"Right behind you" Thalia said.

"Did you all feel that?" Hoa said
"That girl again, Nami was talking about her power" Kasem folded her arms.
"Blood manipulation is mostly found within mer folks." Xiang placed her umbrella down. "Especially her type, the queen of mer folk has similar type of magic"
"Yeah, her magic was to boil people's blood," Nami said. "Terrifying power"
"We need to guide her on the right path," Xiang said again. "Her power is dangerous if set in the wrong hands. Like the Eden empire."
"The Eden empire. They do anything for power… Odd, why does she have a power linked to mer folks. Seems crazy" Kasem said.
"Descendants maybe? Or an abnormal gene, I heard that can impact a person, what are your guesses?" Hoa said.
"I agree with the abnormal gene, she isn't a mer folk," Kasem said.
"Hmm" Xiang hummed.
"My prediction is descendants, and possibly that she is a mer folk"
Kasem and Hoa gasped.
"Impossible, you know they aren't allowed any form of education" Kasem said. "I doubt it, the connection between us and them ended long ago."
"But Kasem, it's a prediction, if she was, she would've had gills and always be near water, which she isn't" Hoa spoke.
"True" Kasem sighs.

THALIA POV-
I'm so happy Nerina found her type, I want to spare her and help her get stronger.
"Princess!?" Hinata appeared next to me. "The class said I should stick with you, my powers can help you without causing harm."
"Don't call me that, my name is Thalia you know?" I replied a little harshly.
"Right sorry" She apologised.
My classmates decided to make me guard one of the flags. And paired me with a person who specialises in throwing rocks. Sadly Ravi and I were separated.
"We made it!" two boys appeared in the cave.
"The princess and another woman," one of them said.
"The other girl would be easy to defeat. It's just the princess" they whispered.
"Oh I thought you two were Nerina" I sighed disappointingly.
"That freak? Her powers are fucking scary man" one of them said.
My body boiled, I could feel my face change by the comment. "What are you talking about?" I glared.
"I said what I said." he said before chanting.
"Hinata!" I signalled.
She caught on the signal quite quickly and started chanting as well. She panted heavily, sending a boulder towards my direction.
I used my usual technique, breaking the rocks into two, using one for attacking one for shield.
"Thank you" I raised my thumbs out.
"Shit" the boy with the octopus stance cursed. "She has no weakness because she has no magic."
"You should watch your surroundings, princess!" the other guy said throwing these hard gelly substances towards me.
I tried to dodge in time however I was hit by one which caused me to hiss slightly.
"Oh yeah! You hit her!" the other guy said.
"Of course" he flexed.
I held my stomach tightly before aiming some rocks at him, my aim were unco-ordinated. Which caused them to dodge easily.
"This might be easy." the boy with the octopus stance said, finally attacking, he moved his hands towards my direction, the tentacle following suit.
"Earth is water's weakness depending on how it's used" I replayed what my teacher said.
"Megumi! You know what to do"
"But… okay I'll try." she said.
For now I just have to keep them distracted.
"Hey boys, I have something to show you" my hands waved. I played with a small pebble on top of my hands "pretty ain't it?" I said before trying to aim it at one of them.
They blocked it as usual.
"That's what you wanted to show us? How about you show us something else, you know" he paused, looking at me. "your bank account" one of them said.
I ignored them, I still aimed little rocks against them.
"Try aiming better!" they laughed, as they tried to attack me.
Finally, everything was placed.
"Megumi now!" I said watching Megumi's tail wiggle slightly before casting the spell. I watched as all the little rocks I aimed tightly magnetized towards their body.
"Urgh! Get this off me!" they protested, trying to remove the rocks.
Once they were fully covered in little rocks, I took the final blow, hitting the rocks hard enough for them to pass out.
The plan was to distract them, it will come across like I'm trying to hit them, then Hinata will use her magic, then boom! Sick plan.
Powerful to knock them out for a few hours. And it worked! honestly. She reminded me a little of Rina.
"We did it! I did it!" she praised.

Nerina pov-
"As much as I am afraid of your power" Ha Joon sighed. "It's important," he said.
The meeting ended with that. Those words. I feel so disgusting. The plan is to make it look like Kento has my power to make him look intimidating. I've been paired with Kento and Kyomi, they're meant to protect me.
To summarise it up they plan on using my power to win.
"I like this!" Kyomi skipped.
"Don't worry Nerina, if you don't want to use your power, you don't have to" Kento smiled.
Kento's tracking magic can only be used three metres away,
"I found a cave, 3 meters ahead. Two people guarding a flag."
"Yay! Can we go there!? Come on guys let's go!" Kyomi said.
We walked in cautiously, even Kyomi stayed quiet.
As we entered, to our luck we sound Thalia
"Hey Nerina!!" she waved her arms. "I missed you!"
"I forgot you two are friends," Kento stated.
"Sorry Nerina, I can't just give you my flag," she continued.
This is bad, if Thalia finds out I've been lying, she'll hate me.
"Hey Lia" my voice is surprisingly calm. "I see you found a new friend?" my eyes darted to the other girl.
"Yeah! Hinata! You two should talk sometime!" she said, punching the ground again. I watched astonishingly like I did, watching her pick up big rocks. "You two are like two peas in a pod!
"Hey I can get ready too!" Kyomi said removing the water from her pouch.
As they started fighting, I tried to find how I managed to use my magic. I was deep in thoughts until Kento pushed me on the ground.
"Sorry, are you okay!?" Hinata said frantically.
"I'm okay." I said. Kento and I got off the floor.
Kento decided to attack an average high density water ball.
Hinata shrieked.
With her other hand, Kyomi casted a spell quickly, her magic knocking over some boulders, temporarily trapping Megumi.
"I've figured it out, what teacher Nami tried to explain!" I clapped my hands.
"Let's make it quick!" Kento rushed.
"My magic is like a mirroring technique, but I'm the mirror," I said trying to properly understand.
"That's so cool! Try it on me Rina!" Thalia exclaimed, hitting Kyomi with a boulder. "oops…"
"Thanks, all i have to do… is try to use it? But how?"
"Less talking and more attacking!" Kento commanded.
"Exactly like how he said" Thalia said from the ground. I know this trick, she did it in the tournament.
"Oh no you don't!" Kyomi said, spreading the water in Thalia's direction before freezing it, causing Thalia to lose her balance.
MEANWHILE
"It's stuck," Hinata groaned. "I'll have to use my magic"
Hinata's tail wriggled from the noises outside, caught staying or helping her teammates, she decided then to move the rocks, despite her limitations.

"Man, I want you to use your power Rina!" She got up dramatically.
"Kento! Kyomi" I signalled, focusing on Thalia's legs, or my legs before screaming stop!" Kyomi threw hail-like droplets into the ceiling, making it appear like I threw them while Kento took a stance making it look like he casted the spell.
"I can't move?" Thalia's eyes widened. "Body control? blood control? No that's impossible, damn, water is the strongest after all." Her voice strained.
Kentos's eyes were glued on me, he knew I was at my limit. the icicles Kyomi made earlier dropped down, Kyomi made sure the icicles only faintly caused damage.
"Who is using this magic? It's so cool" Thalia.
"I'm at my limit…" Kento warned.
"It's you? I like your power" Thalia said.
"I have the flag!" Kyomi waved it.
As soon as she said that, I stopped concentrating on Thalia's leg.
"The water group has retrieved a flag. I repeat, the water group has retrieved a flag." a loud voice vibrated.
Thalia fell on the ground. "My body feels weak…"
I frowned. Did I hurt Thalia?
"Nerina let's go!" Kyomi and Kento called out, making their way out of the cave.
"Go, I'll catch up!" I said moving to thalia. I don't know how I could heal thalia since she didn't have an injury. I decided to do it regardless. I used my water pouch before spreading it across her legs before starting the magic
"Your friends are strong, Rina," Thalia exclaimed weakly. "Ice ice and unknown power." she chuckled.
"You don't heal your enemies."
"I know, but we are friends. Not enemies." I retorted back.
After using my magic for a bit I had to leave Thalia. I was hesitant to leave her all vulnerable and helpless, but decided to leave, I had to help my classmates, right?
"I'll see you at lunch" I said before trying to join up with Kento and Kyomi.
Before I could get out I was blocked by a thick gust of wind. The wind engulfed me slightly.
"I saw you" the voice jumped around. "I know your power" Giggles erupted from every direction. "I won't tell anyone" the fog left. "For now"
My heart was filled with dread, my eyes darted to every direction in a panic
"Nerina! You took so long" Kento said. "We have to take the other flags, let's go." he said.
