Luna took a step backwards, "Speak now… how are you even here?" she demanded.
Ash tilted his head, "Haven't I been inside of the library before?" he questioned.
"But…" Luna was going to say that it should be under lock down currently, but she held her words.
She stared at him for a long moment, yellow eyes searching his face, then exhaled slowly.
"…How are you so good at Alchemy?" she asked, voice quieter now, genuine curiosity breaking through her shock.
"I've watched you for some time now..." She said, "Never once have I seen you practice Alchemy... and the way you do it..."
"No Strata... no mana... just perfect pills made from almost nothing. Even with my experience... I can't do it that cleanly."
The young woman — the First's disciple — who had been kneeling in stunned silence, finally lifted her head.
Her cheeks were flushed, and her voice came out shy and hesitant.
