Aurora took another step forward. Her voice wasn't aggressive or loud, but precise. And it did exactly what she wanted.
A flicker of tension crossed Lyria's face.
"You hide behind concern," Aurora continued softly, "but your eyes say something else entirely."
Lyria's fingers clenched slightly and her gaze sharpened as if warning Aurora to continue talking nonsense.
But Aurora didn't stop.
"You don't hate me because I'm dangerous," she added. "You hate me because I existed near what you wanted… and now someone else has it."
She spared a quick glance toward Calix and Soren as she finished speaking, noticing how both men stiffened visibly even though they didn't seem to understand the implication behind her words.
On the other hand, Mira just blinked in confusion.
And Lyria... her face went pale for a fraction of a second before flushing red with anger.
