A globally sensational engagement press conference was grandly held in the central square of Satan City.
The wedding date was officially set for one month later.
Three Days Later — Loren's Courtyard
The afternoon sunlight carried a lazy warmth.
Gohan adjusted his collar nervously, his expression stiff with tension.
Today, he had deliberately changed into a brand-new scholar's suit. His hair was carefully combed, making him look noticeably more mature.
At the center of the courtyard, his master Loren lay on that familiar lounge chair, eyes half-closed, seemingly asleep.
"Ma… Master…"
Gohan approached quietly, lowering his voice as much as possible, afraid to disturb Loren's peaceful rest.
Loren's eyelids twitched slightly.
He opened one eye.
"Oh, it's you, Gohan."
"What is it?"
"I… I came to…"
Gohan's ears slowly turned red.
"I came to… thank you."
"Thank me for what?"
Loren yawned and sat up.
"For… caring about Videl and me."
"If it weren't for you, I think… we might have delayed things for a very long time…"
"That's enough."
Loren waved his hand casually.
"You don't need to thank me. Even if I hadn't said anything, you two would've ended up together anyway."
"Get married early. Settle down early."
"Yes, Master."
Gohan nodded heavily.
"I understand."
"Good."
Loren stretched lazily.
"Stay for dinner later. Eat before you go."
"Yes!"
Gohan bowed respectfully and left.
One Month Later — West City
West City welcomed an unprecedented grand wedding.
Celebrities, tycoons, dignitaries, and public figures filled the venue.
But the most eye-catching were the special guests seated at the head table.
"Wow! Gohan really looks handsome today!"
Goku, wearing a clearly ill-fitting black suit with his tie crooked, stuffed food into his mouth while continuously refilling his plate.
"Chi-Chi! Look! This grilled lobster is even bigger than the one we had at the beach!"
Chi-Chi, sitting beside him, smiled proudly while constantly fixing Goku's tie.
"Eat slowly! Goku! Don't choke!"
"Mind your manners! Today is Gohan's big day!"
Another Corner
Vegeta stood alone, holding a glass of juice, his expression cold and distant.
Bulma walked over, handing him a glass of champagne.
"Don't look so serious, Vegeta. Today's a happy day."
"Hmph."
Vegeta snorted softly, but his gaze drifted involuntarily toward a man seated farther away.
Loren.
Vegeta's fists clenched unconsciously.
The gap was enormous.
But he wasn't resigned.
Never.
Yet Another Corner
Krillin adjusted the top hat awkwardly perched on his bald head, sweating nervously.
Beside him sat a black-haired woman with gentle eyes and a soft smile.
Her name was Xiaomei, Krillin's colleague from the police station.
"You seem really nervous, Krillin," she said with a light laugh.
"No—no!"
Krillin straightened his back.
"I'm just… hot!"
He pointed discreetly toward the head table, lowering his voice proudly.
"That guy eating like a monster is Son Goku, my best friend."
"And that one—Loren—he's the strongest person on Earth. Even stronger than Mr. Satan."
Xiaomei glanced over, then looked back at Krillin.
Her eyes softened.
"I know they're amazing…"
"But I think you are the most incredible."
"Eh?"
Krillin froze.
"During that bank robbery," Xiaomei continued softly, "you could've dodged."
"But you stood in front of me."
"In my heart… you're braver than anyone."
Krillin's head instantly turned as red as a ripe tomato.
Wedding Ceremony
The wedding march echoed beautifully.
Under countless gazes, Videl, dressed in a white wedding gown, walked slowly down the red carpet, arm in arm with Mr. Satan.
Mr. Satan cried like a two-hundred-pound child, tears and snot everywhere, yet he stubbornly straightened his back as he placed his daughter's hand into Gohan's.
Gohan was stiff with nervousness, but the moment he held Videl's hand, all unease melted into tenderness.
The priest spoke solemnly.
"Mr. Son Gohan, do you take Miss Videl to be your wife—"
"I do!"
Gohan answered loudly without hesitation.
The venue erupted in laughter.
Videl smiled radiantly.
When they exchanged rings and kissed, thunderous applause filled the hall.
Banquet
Gohan and Videl raised their glasses and approached Loren's table first.
"Master. Miss 18."
Gohan bowed respectfully.
"Thank you for attending my wedding."
Videl followed suit.
"Mr. Loren, thank you."
Loren studied them quietly.
He swirled the juice in his glass, ice clinking softly.
"Gohan."
His calm voice seemed to quiet the surrounding noise.
"Marriage isn't the end."
"It's a beginning."
"Before, you fought to protect Earth."
"From today on, you fight to protect your wife."
"To protect your future family."
"That responsibility is heavier."
Gohan's heart shook.
"Yes, Master! I understand!"
Android 18 looked at the couple, her expression unusually soft.
"Congratulations."
Simple. Sincere.
"Thank you, Miss 18."
Videl bowed again.

Just then—
A familiar sound rang in Loren's mind.
[Ding!]
[Detected: Host's disciple Son Gohan has completed a major life turning point — Marriage.]
[Disciple's mindset has reached completion.]
