"Thanks for that…" Xavier stated as they got to the car.
Freya simply nodded her head in understanding, figuring that something bad must've happened for Xavier to react this way. He said something about his suspension being lifted, so she guessed it had to be work related.
Of course what exactly it could be was still unbeknown to her.
"I'll take you to Aunt Elisa for now… You might have to stay there for a few days." Xavier started explaining as they drove. "There was an attack on the barrier, nothing too serious, but they want to go after the Wanderers for safety. Make sure that the others don't get any ideas."
Feya numbly nodded her head. After a moment of silence, she asked, "I-is this common?"
The barrier was what kept the tainted mana and monsters from attacking the city. If it got destroyed, then there would be no protection for anyone. And if she ever had to come across one of those monsters.
Freya shivered at the thought.
