"Dear, this looks fabulous!" Elise exclaimed as she gazed into the mirror. She then turned back to Freya, who was standing behind her, and asked, "Where did you learn such things?"
The two were getting ready for the banquet at Elise's home, having planned to go together. That way Freya wouldn't be alone when Xavier had to leave to do his greetings and stuff.
"Just saw some videos online and practiced." Freya answered vaguely.
Her mother had never really been one for makeup, so everything she had learnt was from friends or video tutorials. And although she normally kept her makeup simple, so it was easy and quick to do on busy days, she loved doing more 'heavier' makeup looks.
But she kept those for special occasions.
"Well, you certainly have a talent for it." Elise mused. "I must thank you for doing this for me."
"It's no problem." Freya smiled. "You helped me a lot already, so I'm glad I could return the favor."
