"Now, this is a surprise..."
Eugene raised his brows when his daughter came home with Samantha. Arthur had told him about fetching their daughter, but Eugene didn't expect Ashley to also come strolling.
"Papa!" Hannah jumped into Eugene's embrace, giving her papa a long, hard kiss on the cheek. She also nuzzled his neck, something she did often after Eugene returned from the honeymoon. Maybe she wanted to get used to the new scent quickly.
Eugene observed his daughter and found that she was as cheerful as usual, which instantly made him feel relieved. Sure, the doxxing only happened today, and it seemed like the company quickly took any post relating to it down. Still...he couldn't dismiss the possibility of some teachers acting like scum.
"Anything interesting happened today at school?" he asked while tidying up the auburn hair, fixing the twin braids he made this morning.
