"Look at him getting all sulky," Ashley teased the moment Arthur arrived at the house with pursed lips, cackling to herself.
"Shut up!" Arthur clicked his tongue, throwing his overnight bag to the couch before sinking himself on it. "I should be allowed to spend every night with my fiancé."
"You know, people usually spend the night before their wedding for a stag party."
Shirley arched her brow at her wife's remark. "Did you?"
Ashley froze and coughed awkwardly. "N-no? Why would I party out there when I had a daughter at home?"
Arthur scoffed; he knew Ashley had one before her first wedding. "I have a daughter too, so what's a stag party have to do with me?"
"You just have no friends."
"Eugene has a lot of friends, and there's no party," Arthur crossed his arms.
