"Stop sulking," Eugene nudged her friend as they walked down the driveway to their cars.
Sophie pursed her lips. "How could you tell instead of me? I am your friend first before him!"
"But you're already busy enough taking care of my wedding," Eugene put his arm around her shoulder and stroked her upper arm. "I don't want to burden my maid of honor."
"Hmph! You only talk sweet at a time like this. Hmph!" Sophie scoffed and crossed her arms in defiance, but the corner of her lips was twitching in obvious delight. "No matter how busy I am, taking an application for you is hardly a task."
"Well...I wasn't just asking for the form, you know?" Eugene scratched his cheek. "Originally, I asked if he could get me the extraction permit right away—you know, the kind of things he's good at," he grinned sheepishly. "But Allen said he didn't want me to do this without the proper procedure. He scolded me for a bit, so..."
