Eugene raised his brows. "You mean...the one in the military?"
"Yeah..."
Eugene suddenly recalled all the anecdotes he had heard about this so-called Mr. Crawley senior. He was someone who could send a private jet to fetch his estranged son, paid for all of his studies, and bought an apartment unit as a 'gift'.
After almost thirty years, he would have been climbing even higher in rank, but even back then, he was important enough for someone to feel threatened and wanted to ruin his life by drugging and trapping him with Arthur's mother. That, usually, only happened to people whose family was also important--perhaps in the military sphere, too.
Even if this person was stationed abroad, he--or his family--probably had enough clout to sway the officials. The problem lay only in whether he was willing to help.
