He only mentioned it as a joke in the past, but he really felt like they could use it in this situation. Eugene was pretty certain that no matter how crazy Arthur would turn later, he would stop at the mention of his daughter's name.

Arthur widened his eyes; his body finally stopped shaking as he froze at Eugene's words. Eugene smiled and tilted his head.
"Are you not going to come out?" he asked softly.
Arthur hesitated slightly, chewing his lower lip as his mind fought the urge to lunge at his omega. With curled fists, he slowly stood up and wobbled toward Eugene in slow, staggered steps.
"I...I'm still not sure..."
"I'm not going to blame you if anything happens," Eugene reached out to hold Arthur's curled hand. "I've prepared everything already, cleaned myself, and bought some first aid--just in case."
The light lashes fluttered rapidly. "And...and...the m-morning after--?"
