Without Eugene even knowing, Hannah returned with more birthday gifts. The skate and the bike were left at the estate, but a necklace returned with her; a rose gold chain with a beautiful initial adorned with a purple ruby.
Apparently, Grandma Cynthia had called her jeweler friend to have it done before they went home, and the box came right after breakfast, tied with a pretty velvet ribbon. Sammy had the same one with an S pendant and a red ruby. Little Danny probably had one prepared for her in the future.
"H for Hannah!" she raised the necklace high while lying down on the spirit mountain rug, kicking her legs in the air.
"That's right! Cute, isn't it?" Arthur grinned.
Hannah nodded repeatedly while sitting up. "Mega cute!"
"That's Sammy speaking..."
Eugene laughed and patted the spot in front of the mirror. "Let's put it on and see how great it looks on you," he said. "But you can't wear that to your school, okay?"
