The celebration didn't feel like over even after the McClaires were going home. The decorations were still in place, felt too much of a waste to get rid of them just after a few hours. Sophie had joked about turning Arthur's place into a playground, but the man actually didn't oppose it--as long as his private studio wasn't touched.
Perhaps because of those decorations, Hannah refused to budge from the carpet. They took the balloons down from the windows and the birthday panel and placed them around Hannah so she looked like she was imprisoned in a colorful balloon jail.
They had the leftover party food as dinner, and finally managed to drag Hannah from her balloon prison with Sophie's birthday gift: a set of child-friendly fancy toiletries that included some blind-box type bath bombs.
