Chapter 94 - Chapter Ninety-Four: Senator Bell Organa

Senator Organa.

Kote snorted, "So what if you follow me?"

But this time, Palpatine gets a win-win, weakening all sides and further disappointing the Republic, while Korian Vos, from Jabiim, is of questionable value.

After that, with nothing else happening, the regular meeting concluded.

After the meeting, Palpatine came to Kote's office.

"My dear friend, you know you didn't have to agree at all; the vote could very well have been against it," Palpatine said, feigning concern.

Kote smiled, "Speaker, for the sake of the Republic and your peace of mind, this is necessary. Besides, a straight body fears no crooked shadow. As your friend and supporter, how could I not endure such things? After all, this is for the Republic."

Kote sneered inwardly. This was Palpatine's usual style, always pretending to be weak to let his subordinates squabble over who was Palpatine's loyal dog. But now, he had to endure it, for Mandalore, and for the future assets from the Empire. He had to maintain this facade.

"Councilman Kote, with you by my side supporting me, the Republic will become a new Republic!" Palpatine was deeply gratified. Even with his actions, Kote showed no signs of resistance, completely acting like his subordinate, which he greatly enjoyed.

Kote thought inwardly, "It's not a new Republic; it's practically the Empire."

"For the Republic."

"For the Republic."

After they spoke, Palpatine left Kote's office first.

Kote immediately contacted his adjutant on Zambar.

"Adjutant, what is the progress of the Clones now?"

"Large-scale Cloning was completed long ago. Our first batch of one thousand experimental Clones are now successfully approaching one year of age, with no large number of defective products. It can be said that the successful research and development of Cloning has been completed," the adjutant reported the current progress to Kote.

"That's good. Quickly have most of Zambar's army and ships leave Zambar and hide in Kalee or other systems. A survey team from Coruscant will be investigating Mandalore's militarization process," Kote arranged.

"Then I will notify everyone to begin evacuation, leaving only a few thousand people as a garrison. What about the laboratory?" the adjutant asked, thinking of the immovable laboratory.

"Leave it there; they won't go there," Kote said confidently.

"Understood." He then cut off communication and began contacting Pre Vizsla and Ray to board for evacuation.

Upon hearing the order, everyone on Zambar immediately began to act, as Kote had contingency plans for such inspections long ago.

All buildings on Zambar were designed like those in StarCraft, ready to be disassembled and loaded onto ships at any time.

One of the contingency plans was to start holidays, with everyone returning to their homes on Vadir, while the Clones were all hidden within warships heading to Kalee. The remaining starports and heavy factories could be moved elsewhere at any time, with a few installed in each system. After all, within Mandalore, these were completely legal, being collaborations between corporations and the government, much like the Mandalore Shipyards.

After arranging everything, Kote leaned back in his chair, quietly contemplating how to rise in the cracks without involving Mandalore. He ultimately only thought of one path: independence. Only independence would prevent Mandalore from being attacked and allow it to pursue a neutral and peaceful course.

"Is this the only way?" Kote murmured to himself.

In the entire holonet, Kote was now a well-known figure throughout the Galaxy, especially among humans. After all, Kote's identity, age, and looks were all significant advantages. Several news companies even wanted to interview Kote, but all were rejected one by one, yet they persistently invited him for an interview.

But at this moment, Councilor Bail Organa, who had also shone brightly in the council earlier, walked in, followed by an equally very young auburn-haired girl.

Seeing the two Councilors walk in, Kote quickly stood up. He recognized Councilor Bail Organa, whom he was very familiar with, but he couldn't recognize the person behind him at all.

"Hello, Councilman Kote, I am Bail Organa, a Councilor from Alderaan," Senator Organa introduced himself.

"It's an honor to meet you, Senator Organa. And who is this?" Kote still couldn't figure out who this Councilor was, who was only slightly older than he was when he joined the council.

"I am Mon Mothma from Chandrila. I have just become a Galactic Councilor and wish to learn from Councilman Kote and Councilor Bail, so I have come to learn how to become a Councilor and do things for the Republic," said the seventeen-year-old Mon Mothma, stating her purpose.

Kote hadn't expected that someone already wanted to learn from him, and she was one of the most important figures in the future Star Wars Universe, establishing the Rebel Alliance to openly resist the Empire. This required immense courage, but the subsequent New Republic suddenly collapsed. This could not negate her status.

He also deeply admired those who genuinely spoke out and acted for the Republic and the people of the Galaxy.

"You must be the youngest Councilor, besides me, I suppose," Kote exclaimed. "But speaking of the first step to becoming a Councilor, I think it's to hold your ground, not be bribed, and then do what you want to do, whether it's for the Republic or for your own planet. As long as you believe it's a good thing for the Republic, you should do it."

Kote said to the naive Mon Mothma. Mothma nodded, indicating understanding, and Senator Organa had also said the same thing.

"This is my private communication channel. You can contact me anytime if you need anything." Kote gave his comm code to both of them and added their communications to his list.

"Remember, your life comes first. Senator Organa, you must be careful of assassination attempts from the Trade Federation or other factions. They are not kind people, especially since few dare to accuse the Trade Federation now." Kote praised Senator Organa's actions in the council, but the Trade Federation, if it couldn't be won over, might resort to assassination.

"Thank you for your concern, Councilman Kote. My guards will protect me. I know the Trade Federation never means well, so I am very cautious," Senator Organa had long anticipated various situations. After all, the moment he spoke in the council, he knew he would be targeted.

"That's good. Councilman Mothma, you also need to remember to go out with guards, as being too close to me will more or less make you a target for the Trade Federation." Kote was not exaggerating, because even now, Kote was very popular in the council, but few people approached him. Some who had approached him before were taken care of by the Trade Federation and then dared not come again. Kote would not care for such easily swayed people.

"Understood, Councilman Kote. I didn't expect expressing myself in the council to be so dangerous," Mothma, who was just starting out, also didn't understand these things.

"Then we will leave first, Councilman Kote. There are too few people like you. You must also protect yourself," Senator Organa said, then left Kote's office with Councilman Mothma.
