The next day, the Jedi Order had completed the personnel deployment. To facilitate better cooperation with Commander Kote, Qui-Gon and his apprentice were instructed to proceed to Kalee after completing their current mission.
Upon hearing this arrangement, Commander Kote knew it was Great Master Yoda's doing, but he still needed to return to Vadir to bring some food and basic resources to the Kaili people.
Spider and his squad were stationed at the Council Building, while Nehaal and Commander Kote returned to Vadir to check on the Kaili people's training.
Inside the Kaili people's military camp, Mandalorians were training them. The Kaili people regarded Commander Kote as a god, a savior who would lead them out of the Huk people's enslavement. The Mandalorians were seen as the god's messengers, teaching them how to resist!
After training, the Mandalorians also taught the Kaili people the Mandalorian language, so they could at least communicate. After nearly two months of instruction, they had basically completed their lessons.
"Divine messenger, when will we return to Kalee? Our people are waiting for our return," a Kaili person asked in Mandalorian, kneeling before a Mandalorian captain.
Although all Mandalorians told them not to do this, it was no use. The Kaili people were too stubborn, believing that divine messengers must be respected and not spoken to as equals, but from a lower position.
"Commander Kote has sent word, which is what you consider the god has said, to board the ships now and prepare to depart for Kalee," the captain told him.
"Following the god's instructions, I will tell my people this good news," the Kaili person, still kneeling, went back to inform his tribesmen.
The Kaili people began their primitive dance, with the words "Commander Kote" and "Mandalore" frequently appearing in their chants.
Commander Kote arrived at the Kaili people's military camp. Seeing him, all the Kaili people knelt on the ground, bowing to the god who saved them.
"Wow, it wasn't this serious before! Get up!" Commander Kote was dumbfounded. How did it get so extreme in just ten days, from not being this bad to now kneeling on the ground like this? What exactly were these people teaching them? Weren't they just teaching the Mandalorian language and how to use weapons and equipment?
The captain in charge of this area saluted Commander Kote. "As you can see, Commander, they already regard you and all Mandalorians as gods. Even if we try to correct them, it's impossible to change their minds," he said helplessly.
"Forget it, let it be. Take everyone and board the hyperion. We only need one company of our own, because this time it's not for war, but for peace. We are going to teach the Kaili people to reclaim everything that belongs to them," Commander Kote said to the captain beside him.
The Kaili people boarded the ship with weapons provided by the Mandalorians.
"Depart, head to Kalee," Commander Kote said to his adjutant.
"But Commander, we don't have the star map coordinates for Kalee," the adjutant said, revealing something embarrassing for both of them, as Commander Kote had also forgotten to ask for the star map location.
So he had no choice but to send a communication to Obi-Wan. "Uh... Obi-Wan, have you and Great Master Qui-Gon arrived at Kalee yet?" Commander Kote asked awkwardly.
"We just finished our last mission and are about to enter hyperspace for Kalee. What's wrong?" Obi-Wan didn't understand why something needed to be discussed now instead of face-to-face.
"You know, I forgot to bring the star map, so I can't depart right now," Commander Kote said.
"Where is your previous courage and decisiveness? Why have you suddenly become like this, even making such a small mistake? Sigh, the star map has been sent," Obi-Wan wondered where the old Commander Kote had gone.
After ending the communication, Commander Kote also realized that he seemed somewhat indecisive and melancholic now, not like his former self. He wondered why.
The adjutant entered the star map coordinates, and they entered hyperspace, beginning their journey to Kalee. Commander Kote, meanwhile, began meditating in his room. He needed to balance his power and find his true self again.
In his meditation, he seemed to see the future: Sidious personally led people to cleanse the entire Galaxy, everyone became Sidious's slave, and the Sith were resurrected in the Galaxy, with Sidious achieving immortality.
On the other hand was a beautiful future where everyone had a good ending, the Jedi Order was not destroyed, Sidious was directly annihilated, the Sith were extinct, the Empire was not established, and the Galaxy ushered in a beautiful future.
But Commander Kote knew this was all an illusion. He didn't want this kind of ending. He needed to see his true self. Now his Dark Side power was stronger, but he had become indecisive, whereas when his Light Side was strong, he was more ruthless and powerful. Why was this!
He needed to balance his power and remain neutral, not leaning to either side.
Moreover, in Commander Kote's own view, he had become a contradictory individual. Possessing psionic energy made his power stronger than anyone else in this Universe; he could change heaven and earth with a flick of his hand, even influencing the Universe.
But his heart was not that strong. He was always suppressing himself, afraid of hurting others. After this mission was completed, he needed to release himself, go into self-exile, and freely unleash his power on an uninhabited planet.
After a day of travel, Obi-Wan and his apprentice arrived at the outer Star Domain of Kalee one step ahead.
On Kalee, at a forest temple, the Kaili people held spears and shields. Only the most accurate shooters in the tribe could use slugthrowers and Cherka Outer Rim rifles. The Kaili people were using completely outdated weapons to fight against the Yamri people, who were already a spacefaring civilization.
"Run, the Huk people are coming!" a Kaili child shouted, looking at the buzzing Vulture droids in the sky.
Hearing the shouts, elite Kaili warriors took out the best weapons of the entire tribe, the Cherka Outer Rim rifles, and shot at the Vulture droids in the sky, while an endless stream of Yamri people rushed out of the forest on the ground.
"Catch these guys!"
"They are our slaves, our property!"
Thousands of Yamri people attacked a Kaili tribe of tens of thousands. The Kaili people barely resisted, and their children were protected and sent to other tribes. When other tribes learned of this, Hilar Khan, the strongest tribe in Kalee City, led people to help this Kaili tribe.
As the most powerful Kaili person, Qymaen Jai Hilar could single-handedly take on three or four Yamri people, but this was still not enough. The Vulture droids in the sky were still wreaking havoc, and the Yamri people on the ground were killing the Kaili people in a brutal manner. After all, the Yamri people's weapons were far, far more advanced than the Kaili people's.
In just three hours, another Kaili tribe was captured by the Yamri people, and all the remaining people would be treated as slaves. They even destroyed the Kaili people's temple as punishment.
"Damn it, these guys are getting more and more numerous. I need more excellent warriors," Hilar said dejectedly after the defeat.
"Don't worry, Hilar, more and more of our people are joining us. Soon, under your guidance, we will win the war," Ronderu lij Kummar, the Kaili female warrior second only to Hilar, comforted her best friend.
"I will kill these Yamri people who invaded us! They will get their retribution!" Hilar quickly adjusted his emotions.
"Yes, that's right! We will reclaim everything that is ours!" Kummar said, leaning next to Hilar.
(My mind has been a bit unclear these past two days, so what I wrote is a bit silly. I apologize to everyone. Hilar is the future General Grievous.)
