"Let me cook in peace. Mochi just ran away because of you, by the way." Sanemi tightens his hold instead, nuzzling into Giyuu's neck with a playful growl. "Mochi probably just wanted to go chase birds. And my coffee is an acquired taste." He steals a quick kiss on Giyuu's jaw before reaching past him to grab a slice of bread. "See? I'm being helpful by making toast." Giyuu sighs dramatically, giving up on his personal space.
"You're being a distraction. Again." He tries to focus on cooking breakfast, but keeps getting sidetracked by Sanemi's presence. "And if you burn that toast, I'm making you eat it." Sanemi takes a deliberate bite of his toast, making exaggerated chewing noises. "Mmm, delicious. Better than any restaurant toast." He smirks, leaning against the counter and watching Giyuu cook with obvious amusement.
"Though I'd rather be eating something else for breakfast." Giyuu turns bright red at the comment, nearly dropping the spatula. "Sanemi! Not while I'm cooking." He tries to maintain his composure, but his ears are clearly burning. "Besides, we don't have time for... that. We're already late enough as it is." Sanemi chuckles at Giyuu's flustered state, enjoying the reaction.
"Fine, fine. I'll behave... for now." He steals another piece of toast, watching Giyuu with a mix of affection and mischief. "But we're definitely continuing this later. When you're not wielding hot food." Sanemi devours his breakfast quickly, clearly hungry after their early morning activities. "This is actually pretty good. You're improving, Giyuu."
He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, checking his phone for the time. "We should head out soon. Professor Urokodaki is going to kill us if we're late again." "No, I got other classes today."Sanemi raises an eyebrow, leaning back in his chair. "Oh? Which class? The one with that annoying professor who keeps staring at you?" He starts gathering their dishes, clearly not thrilled about being separated.
"I'll walk you there. Can't have other people hitting on my boyfriend." Giyuu gives Sanemi a knowing look, finishing his last bite. "It's just my art history class. And you're being possessive again." He stands up, gathering his books and heading toward the door. "You don't need to act like a guard dog. I can handle myself." Sanemi follows close behind, grabbing his jacket.
"I know you can handle yourself. But that doesn't mean I want other people drooling over you." He opens the door, gesturing for Giyuu to go first with a playful smirk. "Besides, walking you there gives me an excuse to see that professor sweat when he sees us together." Giyuu shakes his head with a small smile, stepping outside. "You're impossible. And Professor Rengoku isn't even interested in me like that. He is Kyojuro's father and he is married."
He starts walking toward the art building, knowing Sanemi will follow. "You just like making everyone uncomfortable with your territorial behavior." Sanemi catches up easily, wrapping an arm around Giyuu's waist as they walk. "Hey, I'm just protecting what's mine. And you know that guy has a crush on you." He leans in closer, speaking in a lower voice.
"I saw the way he blushed when you corrected his art history lesson last week." Giyuu rolls his eyes, though he secretly enjoys Sanemi's possessiveness. "He blushes at everything. It's part of his personality." They approach the art building, and Giyuu can already see Professor Rengoku standing outside. "Speak of the devil..." Sanemi gives Giyuu a quick kiss on the cheek before reluctantly letting go.
"I'll see you later. And don't forget - I'm picking you up after class." He starts walking backwards, keeping his eyes on Giyuu. "Text me if Professor Rengoku tries anything funny." Giyuu waves him off, trying to suppress a smile. "I'll be fine. Now go before you're really late." He watches as Sanemi disappears into the crowd of students, then turns to face the art building and Professor Rengoku's enthusiastic wave. Sanemi turns one last time, calling out.
"Remember - I love you! But I'll fight anyone who touches you!" His declaration draws several curious glances from passing students, causing Giyuu to blush deeply. Professor Rengoku adjusts his glasses, giving Giyuu an amused look. "Your boyfriend seems... spirited today, Tomioka-san." He gestures toward the classroom door. "Shall we begin? Though I must say, I'm impressed by his protective nature." Giyuu sighs, following Professor Rengoku inside. "He's always like that. Especially when it comes to other men showing interest in me."
He takes his usual seat, trying to focus on the lesson despite his lingering embarrassment. "It's... a work in progress." Professor Rengoku chuckles as he sets his materials down. "Ah, young love. It reminds me of how I was when I first met my wife." He starts writing on the board, his grumpy demeanor softening slightly. "Though I must admit, your Sanemi seems particularly... passionate." Giyuu nods, opening his sketchbook to a blank page.
"He's always been passionate about everything he does. Even if it means making a scene." He starts sketching absently, his thoughts drifting back to Sanemi's overprotective behavior. "I just wish he'd tone it down sometimes." Professor Rengoku glances at Giyuu's sketch, raising an eyebrow. "Perhaps you should try talking to him about it. Communication is key in any relationship." He moves closer to inspect Giyuu's work, his gruff exterior returning.
"Though I must say, your art skills are improving. The details are becoming more refined." Giyuu focuses on his drawing, trying to perfect the shading on Sanemi's hair. "I've been practicing. Sanemi actually helps with the anatomy sometimes, even if he claims he doesn't know anything about art." A small smile plays on his lips as he remembers Sanemi's attempts to model for him.
"He's surprisingly patient when it comes to my creative process." A few students are giggling about him. Professor Rengoku clears his throat loudly, shooting a stern look at the giggling students. "Quiet down! Tomioka-san's focus is admirable." He moves to stand near Giyuu's desk, his voice lowering. "Ignore them. They're just jealous of your talent and your relationship." Giyuu nods appreciatively at the professor's intervention, though he can still hear the whispers.
"Thank you, Professor. I'm used to it by now." He continues drawing, adding small details to capture Sanemi's fierce expression. "Though sometimes I wonder what they find so interesting about our relationship." Professor Rengoku adjusts his glasses, observing Giyuu's drawing with a knowing smile. "Perhaps they're envious of the passion and devotion you share. Not many people find that these days."
He straightens up, addressing the class again. "Now, who can tell me about the Baroque period in art?" Giyuu raises his hand confidently, eager to show off his knowledge. "The Baroque period was characterized by dramatic effects, emphasis on light and shadow, and often religious themes." He glances at his sketch of Sanemi, thinking about how his boyfriend fits perfectly into his life.
"It was a time when art reflected the turmoil of society." Professor Rengoku nods approvingly at Giyuu's answer. "Excellent, Tomioka-san. You've really studied the material." The other students shift uncomfortably in their seats, clearly intimidated by Giyuus's expertise. "Perhaps you could explain the contrast between Caravaggio's style and Rubens's approach?" Giyuu stands up, walking to the front of the classroom with newfound confidence.
"Caravaggio's use of natural light creates stark contrasts, while Rubens emphasizes softness and color." He gestures to the examples on the professor's slides. "Their techniques differ dramatically, but they both express the same emotional intensity." Professor Rengoku beams with pride at his student's eloquence. "Very well said! You have a true artist's eye for detail." The bell rings, signaling the end of class, but Giyuu remains standing, enjoying the moment of recognition.
