Chapter 194 - Captain America: Isn’t This Spear Just a Casual Catch?

"This war is already over."

Staring up at the colossal sphere that radiated dead silence in the sky, Ebony Maw thought to himself.

Dozens of skyscrapers alone could never have trapped Loki, who now wielded the power of Thor.

What truly held him was the pale blue glow shimmering beyond the sphere—the power of the Tesseract. The divine force of the Space Stone had formed a perpetually collapsing cage. Not even light could escape it.

The demise of all things was an inevitable end.

In that moment, Maw felt as if he had become Ragnarök itself, bringing death and despair to Loki.

And next… this entire planet!

He closed his eyes. His consciousness spread outward in an instant, quickly sensing Supergiant locked in combat with the Hulk.

By now, Supergiant had recovered from the Hulk's sudden ambush.

Several blocks away.

The Hulk clutched his head in agony, kneeling on the ground.

He kept letting out terrifying roars.

Not far off, the dismembered limbs of Black Dwarf's corpse sank into the deep snow like discarded garbage. Dark blood was splattered everywhere.

About a hundred meters away, Supergiant panted heavily, the Mind Stone clutched in her hand. Her gaze was heavy as she watched the rampaging Hulk.

After paying the price of Black Dwarf's life, Supergiant had finally seized an opening. She used her psionic abilities to control and disrupt the Hulk's brain and mind.

She had originally intended to take full control of him. But the moment she invaded his mind, she realized she couldn't.

The Hulk simply could not be controlled.

However, driving him completely berserk—that, she could do.

And for her, that was enough.

She threw his mind into chaos, reverting him back into a terrifying beast. Then she hurled that beast right back among the heroes.

In an instant, that same beast became the enemy of the heroes once more.

He rampaged like a mad thing, smashing apart everything—everything—in sight!

The overwhelming power of the Mind Stone also planted crooked thoughts in Ebony Maw's mind.

'If I could get my hands on the Mind Stone…'

He narrowed his eyes and mused.

Everyone would become his puppet!

The power of the Stones was influenced by the strength of their wielders. The weak could never fully unleash a Stone's potential.

But if multiple Stones were gathered, they would form an infinite feedback loop among themselves, no longer limited by the wielder's power.

By then, even he could become a true, omnipotent god of this universe!

At the thought, Maw's breath grew heavier. The greed in his eyes could no longer be concealed.

But just before he could make his way to Supergiant's battlefield…

From within that colossal sphere erupted a surge of tremendous energy!

BOOM!!!

"What?!"

Maw lifted his head in shock. The enormous sphere began to shake violently.

Torrents of overwhelming power!

Like a planet on the verge of destruction, spewing thunderbolts like magma tearing through the earth!

BOOM!!!

Another thunderous roar.

In the next instant, a vast torrent of electromagnetic force came crashing out, completely shattering the restraints of the Infinity Stone's energy. The miniature planet was utterly torn apart!

The twisting lightning was like a dragon!

Clad in his battle armor, Loki's face was now unreadable. Thunder power surged in both his eyes, and his entire body erupted with blinding bolts of divine lightning.

At that moment, Loki seemed to have shed all anger. He was profoundly calm.

Because he already knew that Thor was still alive. He had also completely reconciled with his past and his fate.

"Ebony Maw, prepare to die."

"This… how is this possible?"

Maw looked as though he'd seen a ghost.

The people of Asgard were, at the end of the day, just another mortal lifeform in the universe. How could they possibly wield the power to contend with the Infinity Stones?

"No one can withstand the power of the Infinity Stones!"

After his brief shock, Maw manically snatched up the Tesseract, intending to once again use its energy against Loki.

His face was twisted. His wildly inflated ambition had completely blinded him to the gap in power between himself and Loki.

He raised the Tesseract, but before he could act, a thousand bolts of lightning converged.

Rumble—

With one hand, Loki summoned Mjolnir to him. The other hand held the Casket of Ancient Winters aloft. Infinite divine power gathered. Age-old lightning flickered. Millennia-old frigid winds roared without end!

In this moment, his power had even surpassed that of the God of Thunder himself. He had become a true existence rivaling the All-Father!

"The Tesseract is mighty," Loki said, his voice even. "But you cannot unleash its true power."

"No… impossible… this is impossible…"

Then, within Maw's terror-stricken gaze, the divine hammer in Loki's hand descended, as if hammering fate itself into place.

In that instant.

A thousand, a million thunderbolts descended, bringing annihilation with them.

BOOM!!!——

BOOM!!!

A merciless white gale howled.

No light was visible in the sky over Jotunheim. There was only endless, raging wind.

The extreme cold bit into exposed skin like bone-carving daggers, delivering a piercing, marrow-deep chill!

In this lightless world of ice and snow, a ferocious battle raged on.

BOOM!!

Luma had already lost count of how many giants she'd beaten down. And these giants, mind you, were no nameless underlings.

Even the weakest among them would be a considerably powerful warrior on most other planets—far stronger, at least, than those mass-produced Chitauri soldiers.

Right now, Luma could feel both hands, still gripping her giant hammer, growing sore. Her weapon felt heavier than usual.

She panted, her four crimson eyes locked onto the giants surrounding her.

But those creatures were not the most troublesome threat.

Her real opponents were the two blue-gray-skinned humanoids standing opposite her amidst the howling blizzard.

Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight.

A few minutes ago, she had sent a distress signal to Bant, but who knew how long it would take for rescue to arrive.

At this moment, Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, warriors fighting in Thanos's name, each raised their own weapons and grinned menacingly at Luma.

Glaive held his double-bladed glaive, staring at Luma with bloodthirsty eyes. A powerful enemy like her brought him pleasure.

"You're a fine prey!"

As the foremost of the Black Order,

Corvus Glaive possessed immense strength. He resembled a scythe-wielding death god draped in a black cloak, and what he craved above all was slaughter and war.

Proxima Midnight stood beside him.

She was tall and clad in black battle armor, her chest rising prominently beneath it.

Enemy though she was, Luma had to admit her figure was indeed impressive. From her left shoulder down, she wore golden armor that encased her entire left arm.

Clutched tightly in her grip was a golden spear.

"Where the hell did you two pop out from?"

Luma loved a good fight, but she was no fool.

These two were clearly not Frost Giants. Yet they had appeared here with an unmistakable purpose, clearly targeting her.

But ever since arriving in this world, she'd been stuck on Sakaar, a place with no contact with the outside. There was no way she had made any enemies.

A guess quickly formed in her mind.

'Could something have happened to Bill and the others?'

Luma thought.

Very few people even knew she existed, let alone knew that she was on Jotunheim right now.

Luma suspected that maybe Bill's group had run into trouble after reaching Knowhere—that the so-called Collector had learned of her existence and now wanted to add her to his collection as well, sending people to capture her.

But Proxima Midnight's words immediately killed that theory.

"Kill her!"

Proxima Midnight had no interest in wasting words with Luma. All she wanted was to complete the mission Thanos had given her!

"Guess not." Luma's gaze hardened.

If it were for collection, the enemy's priority would naturally be taking her alive.

But Luma had no time to ponder further. Right now, Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive were already charging at her.

A fight?

"Then bring it on!"

Luma couldn't ask for anything better!

She let out a roar and stomped her foot on the ground. Ice that hadn't melted in a thousand years instantly shattered!

Proxima Midnight thrust her spear straight at Luma's head. At the same moment, Corvus Glaive swung his pinwheel-like glaive, intending to split Luma open from belly to chest!

Facing their simultaneous attack, Luma showed not the slightest fear.

She tilted her head immediately, evading Proxima Midnight's spear. In the same motion, she swung the arm gripping her heavy hammer, smashing it into Glaive's blade.

Then Luma's left arm shot out and seized Proxima Midnight's spear shaft. She yanked it back in one sharp motion, dragging Proxima Midnight right into her reach, while her right foot lashed out hard at Corvus Glaive.

This chain of movements occurred in a single instant, giving both Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive no time to react, and making them fully experience Luma's terrifying strength!

BOOM!

The husband and wife pair were sent flying in opposite directions.

At that very moment, the countless surrounding giants also realized that Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive were Luma's enemies. Without hesitation, they joined the assault on her alongside those two.

"Get the hell out of my way!"

Luma was in no mood to play games with these creatures.

She slammed her hammer into the ground, and the resulting shockwave sent the giants flying.

Then she leaped up, actively seeking out Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight.

"Talk!"

"Who sent you?!"

Luma roared as she fought.

After being caught off guard and suffering a disadvantage under Luma's overwhelming power, Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive immediately switched tactics. They now aimed to prevail through skill and agility.

Blades and spear left afterimages as they cut through the blizzard.

They were battle-hardened commanders of Thanos's armies. Fighting together, their combined might could be said to be no weaker than Thanos himself. They were nothing like the useless Black Dwarf.

With the added help of countless giants, they actually managed to fight Luma to a standstill.

At that moment, Proxima Midnight's spear blocked Luma's hammer. Immediately afterward, Corvus Glaive's blade spun like a meat grinder, slashing open Luma's arms.

Blood sprayed!

The eternally frozen plain was dyed red.

But Luma acted as if she felt nothing.

She only grew fiercer as the battle raged!

Her martial technique and strength were already immensely formidable to begin with.

Now, after acquiring the Primordial Power, her strength had climbed to an even higher level.

Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive were clearly starting to feel the strain.

After being knocked back once again, a mad glint flashed in Corvus Glaive's eyes. Beneath his tattered cloak, his hunched silhouette was full of sinister cunning.

"Proxima," he rasped, "unseal the Divine Spear."

Proxima Midnight was already thinking the same.

She raised her left arm high, brandishing the golden spear. In that instant, the spear shone with golden light amidst the endless darkness—

Captain America: ???

A Divine Spear?

Isn't this spear just something you casually catch?
