If there was one thing gates had in common with hostile zones was their unpredictability.
You never knew when or from where your enemy would strike next. Not unless you had a plan.
It was fortunate for them that they had a Tactician in their ranks and were able to march through the gate with relatively no problems.
They hadn't encountered another swarm of monsters and were quickly making their way to the heart of the gate. Right now, their only goal was killing the entity charged with the gate, killing it, so they could get out before their time has elapsed.
Staying in a gate too long was risky after all. The environment would either collapse with them inside, or have them stuck there forever. Neither option sounded appealing, hence the reason why they were moving quickly. Nervous energy ebbed and flowed through the cadet's veins as every step they took meant encountering more danger.
