Chapter 13 - Chapter 13:Collapse of Control!

Arata stood still for a brief moment, his gaze locked onto the remaining villains.

His focus lingered primarily on two figures—Wolfram and Mr. Compress.

'The real threats…'

The Space Stone pulsed faintly.

Arata raised his Infinity Gauntlet and made a sharp slicing motion through the air.

Space itself split open.

A massive portal formed beneath the villains' feet.

Before they could react—They fell.

Pulled into the void of warped space.

The portal snapped shut instantly after swallowing them whole.

Arata didn't move immediately.

Instead, he opened a smaller, controlled portal.

He stepped through calmly.

In the next moment—He appeared on the terrace of the building.

The helicopter pad.

Wind brushed past him as he scanned the area. The villains were there.

Disoriented.

Struggling to regain balance after the sudden displacement. But something felt… off.

Arata's eyes narrowed slightly.

'One's missing.'

Mr. Compress. He was gone.

A faint tension settled in Arata's mind.

'That's not good.'

He exhaled slowly. Then his expression hardened.

'Enough playing around.' Arata raised his gauntlet.

He made a grabbing gesture. The Space Stone flared brightly.

In an instant—The villains froze.

Trapped within a space stasis field. They couldn't move. Couldn't speak. Couldn't even struggle.

Their very existence had been locked in place.

Arata slowly clenched his fist.

Invisible pressure surged.

The villains' bodies trembled violently as a crushing force wrapped around them.

Agony flashed across their faces.

Then, one by one they lost consciousness.

Silence returned.

Arata lowered his hand. His gaze shifted toward the surrounding environment.

Pipes. Metal bearings. Structural components scattered across the helipad.

He extended his will. The materials responded. They rose into the air, twisting and bending under invisible force before wrapping around the unconscious villains.

With another motion— they compressed.

Locked together. Forming a dense iron cage.

Arata's eyes lingered briefly on Wolfram.

He had applied just a bit more force earlier.

'He won't be waking up anytime soon.'

Satisfied, Arata turned his attention elsewhere.

His gaze dropped toward the building below. His demon mask activated. A faint holographic projection appeared before his vision, mapping out the structure.

His expression shifted slightly.

'Only Melissa…?'

On the 182nd floor, she was alone. Running. Frantic.

No sign of David. Arata didn't waste a second. A portal opened beside him.

He stepped through and appeared right next to her.

Melissa flinched in shock.

"Arata!" she exclaimed instinctively, panic evident in her voice.

Her breathing was uneven.

"When we were looking for you… Dad suddenly disappeared!" she said quickly. "I just turned to check the elevator panel and—he was gone!"

Her hands trembled slightly.

"And the suitcase… the quirk amplification device… it's gone too!"

Arata listened calmly as she explained everything that happened, from freeing the Heroes, to Samuel betraying them, to David's sudden disappearance.

"We'll find him."

Without another word, he raised his gauntlet. A portal opened.

Both of them stepped through. They emerged on the ground floor.

Chaos surrounded them. Heroes were still fighting. Struggling. Weakened from earlier restraints. Nomus rampaged.

But Arata ignored it all. His attention moved elsewhere.

His mask scanned rapidly. Searching for David.

Then—He stopped. His gaze locked onto a nearby building.

There. On its rooftop—Mr. Compress stood holding David. A Nomu beside him alongside the briefcase.

Arata frowned slightly.

'Why hasn't he compressed him?'

A question for later. He raised his gauntlet. A portal opened.

In the next instant— Arata and Melissa appeared on the rooftop.

"Dad!" Melissa shouted immediately. David's condition was worse now.

His skin had gone pale from blood loss.

"Stay back!" he shouted weakly. "Run!"

Arata didn't hesitate. He pointed his gauntlet. Blue energy wrapped around David—and he vanished.

Reappearing instantly beside Melissa. Arata moved quickly. He examined the wound.

Then activated the Space Stone. The bullet was removed cleanly. No tearing. No damage.

He reached into his pocket and took out a ring. Placing it on his finger, the ring activated.

A web-like substance formed and spread over David's wound.

"This will stop the bleeding," Arata said. "It also has healing properties."

Only then—Did he look up.

And his eyes widened slightly.

Mr. Compress had already acted.

The Quirk Amplification Device—Was now attached to the Nomu.

The creature roared. Its body twisted violently. Its blue skin turned red. Its tiger-like face distorted—More monstrous. More demonic.

In the next instant—It moved. Faster than sound.

Arata reacted immediately.

He teleported Melissa and David away from danger.

At the same time—A layer of space energy wrapped around him.

The Nomu's fist approached—But slowed.

Space itself resisted its movement.

Arata dodged.

Then—The environment exploded into motion. Gigantic pillars of metal, stone, glass, and wiring burst from the surroundings, all rushing toward him.

Arata expanded his space field. Slowing everything. Then teleported away.

At that moment—Mr. Compress seized his chance. Black sludge formed around him.

He vanished escaping back to Japan.

Arata didn't chase him, his attention locked onto the Nomu.

It opened its mouth—White flames erupted.

Arata raised his gauntlet.

Space cracked open before him.

The flames were swallowed instantly inside the space crack before sealing shut.

He moved again.

Teleporting directly in front of the Nomu.

His gauntlet surged with power. He punched. The impact echoed.

Cracks spread across the Nomu's face— Then regenerated instantly.

Arata teleported back, his expression darkening.

The Nomu roared. It slammed both hands onto the ground.

The entire sector trembled.

The earth ruptured.

Hundreds of massive tendrils—formed from every available material—shot toward Arata.

"Shit," Arata muttered. He teleported continuously, dodging everything.

At the same time, he opened a portal— Sending Melissa and David toward Hawks' location.

He analyzed the Nomu. Its brain was Connected/Integrated with the device.

He tried to pull it out. But— Muscle fibers extended from its body.

The Nomu reacted violently.

Then— It did something unexpected.

It consumed it.

Its own brain— Along with the device.

Arata's eyes widened.

'What—' The tendrils stopped attacking him.

Instead—They reversed. Rushing towards the Nomu. The creature was engulfed.

Materials piled onto it endlessly. Metal,, Concrete, Glass, Everything.

The island trembled violently.

The Nomu screamed. A sound that was both power and pain.

Arata didn't waste time. He teleported, arriving beside Melissa.

Hawks immediately reacted, forming a blade from his feathers—But Melissa stepped forward.

"He's an ally!" she shouted.

The island shook again. David spoke urgently.

"We need to evacuate everyone! At this rate—the island will sink!"

His voice was strained but firm.

"I had prepared emergency ships for this exact situation—we can deploy them from the control room!"

Melissa stepped forward. "I'll help—"

"No," David interrupted immediately. His gaze shifted toward Arata.

"I don't know who you are," he said seriously. "But Melissa trusts you."

"Please… if you can—take her somewhere safe."

He turned toward Hawks. "I'll leave the rescue operation to you and the other heroes."

Hawks nodded. "Leave it to us."

He grabbed David carefully and took to the air.

"I'll drop him near the control room," Hawks added, glancing back briefly.

Then, with a smirk— "Try to keep that thing busy, demon mask."

Arata watched them leave, then turned towards Melissa.

Her expression was filled with worry, fear and trust.

He spoke calmly.

"Everything will be okay."

He opened a portal.

On the other side was his apartment.

"Stay here," he said. "I'll bring your father back."

Melissa hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"I trust you."

She stepped through, then turned and gave him a small wave.

Arata watched her for a second, then closed the portal.

Silence returned. Only the distant roar of destruction remained.

Arata turned back toward the battlefield, his eyes hardening.

'Now…Let's end this.'
