Darren arrived shortly afterward. He threw a document onto the table. The veins on his temples bulged. His eyes were wide with anger. His face was red.
"How can so many shareholders be selling their shares?!"
Everyone's eyes turned toward the document Darren had thrown, including mine.
When I looked back at Darren, he was glaring at me fiercely. "You didn't know?"
My body froze. I couldn't say I didn't know. But I also knew that I had no idea.
At that moment, Felix placed the documents he had been carrying onto the table in front of me.
Clearly written there were the words, "Investors moving to WitchAe."
I could only glare sharply at Felix. The useless assistant immediately lowered his head and stepped back.
Throughout the meeting, Darren was truly furious. He wasn't directing his anger at anyone specifically, but both I and everyone else knew he was angry at me.
"The meeting is over," Darren said.
