"Hey everyone, it's been a while since Volume 1 of The Flute in the Bamboo Grove ended. I wanted to take a moment to talk to you all properly.
When I finished the first volume, I honestly needed a little time to breathe—to look back at what I'd written and think about where the story should go next. It's been quiet here for a month, but that quiet has been full of planning, rewriting, and rediscovering the rhythm of the story.
I'm happy to tell you that Volume 2 is now in progress. I've been working on it slowly but steadily, shaping the next arc with care.
The new volume will be released in May, and it will continue Shen Qiyao's journey from the shrine toward something deeper—new emotions, new memories, and maybe a few truths that have been waiting to surface.
I know the first volume didn't have a huge number of collections, but every single reader who stayed with the story means a lot to me. Your quiet support, your comments, even the silent reads—they all matter. This story has grown because of you.
So thank you for being patient and for believing in this small world I've built. I hope you'll walk with me again when Volume 2 begins. May isn't far away, and I promise it'll be worth the wait."
