A Dark Angel slowly descended from the bleeding sky, his massive, corrupted wings blotting out the ambient light. Behind him, hundreds of thousands of similarly armored figures hovered in perfect, terrifying formation, their collective killing intent suffocating the city below.
"This is bad... That person is a lot stronger than us."
The five protectors Mirabella placed stood firmly before the terrified human soldiers, staring up at the endless legion of angels. The sheer atmospheric pressure crushing down on them was enough to crack the asphalt beneath their boots.
"Can we win?!" Commander Reed asked, turning to the five protectors. Her voice trembled slightly, not out of cowardice, but from the raw terror of a mortal facing literal gods.
