"Umm, sorry about that."
"Eh? I thought that you would be more afraid."
"Nah, that was just me getting jumpscared. I just got a notebook which can kill people. So, I am fine with supernatural stuff.
So, who are you? What are you doing in my home?"
"I am Ryuk. A Shinigami. I dropped that notebook into the mortal world."
"Hmmmmm. So, you wouldn't mind me using it, will you?"
"No. Use it as you like."
"Thank you! Here, wanna have some snacks?"
Yuri handed Ryuk a packet of potato chips. If he finds something as bland as an apple so tasty, he will surely achieve Nirvana with these.
Ryuk curiously took the potato chips. And as Yuri gestured, he ripped the packet.
Everything fell down on the floor.
But he still ate it.
"W-what's this!?"
Ryuk became really happy, and started munching on the chips from the floor.
"..."
Yuri just stared at him. She felt a weird sense of... weirdness?
She sighed and shook her head, wondering about what to do next.
She just realised that having Death Note and not fixing the world is just having no sense of responsibility. Afterall, due to Death Note, she just saved a lot of kids, and has given a death sentence to some terrorists.
It doesn't mean that she will start killing obsessively.
Afterall, the criminal data cannot be trusted, especially of Japan. Many innocents are proven guilty too. What's the rate? 99% or something? Hiraguma was suffering due to it in JJK.
So before killing anyone, she needs to be absolutely sure that the person is guilty.
And she will create a religion out of it to achieve peace. Afterall, after she is gone, things well slowly get back to how it is.
But for that, she will need a representative, write a Holy book, and ensure that it doesn't end up like the violent religions like Christianity and Islam which killed humdreds of millions in their short history compared to others.
Well, the good thing is that in this age, there is no way of destroying or editing her holy book for usage by political scums.
...Nah, she is way over in her head.
There is no way trying to found a religion wouldn't end up in a bad way.
Even Hinduism and Buddhism brought a lot of suffering despite having almost no bad thing in their founding.
Her religion will evolve into a bad thing sooner or later, so it's best to just not try it.
So, she will just be a good Shinigami who will get rid of the world from the most disgusting scums.
Ryuk, having finished his snacks, asked her, "So, how did you retain your memories even after reincarnation?"
"You can tell that!?"
"Yeah. I am a Shinigami."
Oh.
"Only if you tell me when I will die."
"You have 7 dates. That's weird."
7? Oh.
"You can't see the death date of the person holding the Death Note?"
"That only applies to humans. A Shinigami can see anyone's lifespan."
... That's weird.
The same person, me of my previous life, reincarnated as 8 people in different universes.
So, Ryuk should either be only able to see 1 date, i.e. mine, or the dates of all 8 of us.
Maybe Mosquito Girl actually died?
She did say that she is already dead.
Poor her.
Anyway, doesn't this mean that Death Note works across universes?
Hmmm...
The first person that came to her mind was Danzo.
So, she wrote his name. Getting heart attack in the Hokage Office, in front of Hiruzen.
This way, Rin wouldn't be suspected regarding him.
Afterall, she is already in danger of death.
"So, did Danzo from Naruto universe die?"
Ryuk hovered over her, peeking at the Death Note.
"So, your soul is in different universes?"
"Not telling!"
She wouldn't break the rule of keeping her reincarnation secret. Though Ryuk already knows that she got reincarnated, she still wouldn't tell him the details.
"..."
"I will still give you some chips though."
Ryuk grinned.
Or well, his face is just like that.
