Summoning the last of her strength, Claire shouted, "Love!"
The moment the crimson token struck the stage, a warm light spread across the entire market. The rubble suddenly stopped, and the sphere burst apart into golden fragments. The first round was over—the child was saved—but Claire's breathing was still heavy. Fear stabbed at her chest like thorns.
Without wasting a moment, Eros summoned the second sphere.
This time the scene was far more terrifying. An entire city was burning. Hospitals were collapsing. People were running in every direction, screaming.
