Diana lifted her trembling eyelids and looked at Gandolf. In her eyes, the pain of centuries gathered into a single tear and slipped down. She glanced at her stone feet and then helplessly stretched her hands toward Gandolf, but they froze there.
"Tell me, my lord, how wretched I truly am," Diana said between sobs. "When, centuries ago, I tried to come close to you, I was torn away from you forever and left as a lifeless statue of stone. And today… today, after so many centuries, when by such a great miracle I have awakened and you yourself stand before me, even now my cursed fate will not allow me to embrace you. My feet are still a part of the cold soil of this hell."
