"Your family's shitty mess, all that dog-blood drama—hurry up and clean it up yourselves. I don't have time to sit here acting out some prime-time sob story, or whatever trashy ethics soap opera you think this is."
With that, she couldn't even be bothered to spare them a glance, turned around, and walked off.
Landon Lockwood instinctively lifted his head, his eyes following her back.
His gaze darkened, his thin lips pressed into a tight line.
Was he angry that she'd treated him like air in front of everyone?
Or angry that she'd been so blunt and merciless with Katherine Zane, cold as ice and utterly unrestrained?
Or was he angry that she left without even looking back, not willing to stop for even a second?
