"Biometrics matched to the provided credentials," the officer noted, glancing at the data scrolling across his screen.
Seeing the scene, Leo inwardly sighed. The ridiculously expensive forged identity had worked.
"Check the cargo hold," the officer ordered the two soldiers behind him. They quickly dispersed, moving deeper into the ship without hesitation.
The officer then stepped closer to Leo, raising the scanner again for a localized sweep of his person.
"Any weapons? Contraband? Unregistered modifications?"
"None," Leo said softly.
The green light passed over his chest, up his neck, and across his face. The scanner let out a low sound. It paused near his jawline.
Leo didn't blink. He kept his breathing perfectly even, playing the part of a newly rich young master of a middle tier planet that was looking to start a business in the bigger playing field.
