Chapter 354 - Chapter 346: Returning

The luxurious private yacht sailed across the high seas of the Atlantic Ocean.

In the yacht's dining room, Toru, wearing an open shirt, was cooking at the induction cooker.

There were no other people on this private yacht. Only Toru and Mary were on board.

Naturally, Toru had to handle many tasks himself, such as cooking and steering the yacht.

As a former top CIA agent, operating a private yacht was not difficult for Toru.

Moreover, these ships now had automatic navigation systems. As long as the destination and route were set, the yacht would travel to its destination on its own.

The only time manual control was needed was when docking.

Mary was not even wearing underwear. She was simply draped in one of Toru's shirts, freely showing off her graceful body.

Out here on the uninhabited high seas, both Toru and Mary let themselves go, as if returning completely to a more primitive and untamed way of life.

Toru used the ingredients on the yacht to make several Asian-style dishes and brought them to the dining table.

Mary was physically tired and eagerly picked up her chopsticks, skillfully taking food from the plate. After chewing a few bites, her eyes lit up, and she said, "It's very authentic. The taste is the same as what I ate in East Asia, not a Westernized version."

Toru smiled and said, "I'm not used to Westernized Asian food."

After all, no matter how Toru's appearance changed, he still preferred the flavors he had grown up with.

"I didn't expect your cooking to be this good. It's truly impressive. I've been drifting on the Atlantic Ocean these past few days, and I've had a real feast."

It was said that one of the surest paths to a woman's heart was through intimacy, and after Toru reached Mary's heart that way, their relationship instantly became much closer.

Especially during their conversations, there was less caution and vigilance than before, and more casual ease.

"Before, as a CIA agent, I had to go on all kinds of missions and didn't have the chance to eat properly. When I wasn't on missions and lived in America, I didn't like eating takeout or ordering pizza and hamburgers every day, so I learned this skill."

Toru did not say that he simply missed the taste of home, so he learned to cook it himself in order to recreate it.

After a pause, Toru said again, "Mary, you don't mean to tell me you want me to cook for you every day during our journey to Europe, do you?"

"What, you don't want to?"

"It's not that. It's just that you're the first woman who has been able to taste my cooking for so many days in a row."

When Toru was in Tokyo before, he would occasionally cook a meal himself, but only occasionally. He could not cook every day.

Quite a few women had eaten Toru's cooking, but Mary was the only one who had eaten it for several consecutive days.

Mary flirtatiously teased him. "Should I say it's my honor? But it isn't good to always make you cook. There are enough ingredients here, so I'll cook for a few days too. Is there any English cuisine you'd like to eat?"

"My suggestion would be fish and chips. It really does taste good."

Mary's chopsticks moved so quickly they almost left afterimages as she picked up food from the dining table.

Aside from her habit of eating quickly to replenish her energy, it was also because Toru's cooking was truly delicious.

It could not be said to rival a master chef's cooking, but to Mary, it had the taste and atmosphere of a home-cooked meal.

Mary had never truly experienced that kind of taste and atmosphere before.

Since her husband's death, the Akai family had fallen apart.

Shuichi went to America and joined the FBI to seek revenge.

The second child was adopted by the Haneda family and raised by his adoptive parents.

Masumi was raised by Mary herself, but Masumi had never met her father.

The Akai family had never had a real family meal.

At this moment, eating the food Toru had cooked on this yacht, Mary felt a sense of home she had not expected.

She chuckled self-deprecatingly. She had clearly returned to her peak state, yet she had not expected that her mindset had not completely changed. Deep in her heart, she still carried a hidden longing for home.

Or rather, as an MI6 agent, she had already known from the moment she entered this profession that home was a luxury for her.

Her marriage to her husband, rather than being built purely on feelings, was more like two people who both longed for the warmth of a home unconsciously relying on each other.

Mary's eyes softened. She looked at the table full of home-cooked dishes, then watched Toru walk to the nearby refrigerator and take out a bottle of chilled wine.

She quickly lowered her head, not wanting Toru to see her expression.

Mary was actually moved by these few dishes. If the people who knew her found out, they would definitely find it hard to believe. Perhaps they would even think Mary's personality had changed completely.

"What has Shuichi been doing lately?"

During the meal, when she heard Toru mention Shuichi, Mary did not feel awkward. She said, "Are you asking why Shuichi didn't come with me this time?"

Toru nodded slightly.

Mary said, "Shuichi is still in the FBI. He can't come with me to hunt down the CIA Director. If his identity were exposed, he would be in great danger."

"Rum is already dead, and Shuichi temporarily has no life goal. However, this is also a good thing. He can slowly find his own goal in life and doesn't have to spend his entire life fighting for revenge without ever living for himself."

"Now, Shuichi will also focus on other criminal organizations. He no longer needs to keep staring at the Black Organization."

After a pause, Mary lowered her eyes again and tentatively asked, "But what do you think of Gin, Fujiwara?"

"Gin? I don't have any opinion of him. If he can be used by me, then he's a useful tool. If he can't be used by me, then the best outcome for him is to die quickly."

Hearing Toru's words, Mary sighed softly. "It's best that you don't care about Gin. Although Shuichi is no longer interested in investigating the Organization, he still has one goal to achieve, and that is to kill Gin."

Toru suddenly remembered that Miyano Akemi had died at Gin's hands.

It was very reasonable for Shuichi to seek revenge for Miyano Akemi.

Besides that, Haibara would probably also want to avenge her older sister.

In that case, Gin was bound to die.

However, Toru had no intention of personally dealing with Gin. He smiled and said, "Interesting. Shuichi and Gin truly are lifelong arch-enemies."

"Then let me see who will achieve the final victory."

"As for Gin, his only purpose now is that I need to use him to lure out That Person. This mastermind who has been hiding in the shadows is really a thorn in my side."

"I really dislike such mysterious people."

Toru's eyes deepened. That Person was his last obstacle to completely integrating the Black Organization. After getting rid of him, Toru could directly face the true powerhouses who had ruled this world for centuries.

To achieve his ambition, he had to face them directly and eliminate them.

After finishing the meal, Mary volunteered. Just like that, wearing nothing but Toru's shirt, she washed the pots and pans from the dining table clean.

Looking at Mary's delicate and alluring figure working in the kitchen, Toru could not help himself again. Under Mary's enticing, silky gaze, he pressed her down against the kitchen counter.

The two were intimate for the entire afternoon, until the effects of the drug wore off, and Mary painfully returned to her smaller form.

Mary felt a bit regretful. She had just rediscovered the pleasure of being a woman, and now she had returned to that inconvenient body again.
