Chapter 25 — The Third Blue Knight
Kaizen stood before Jin Yuan and Musukoni, his mismatched eyes gleaming with excitement — one red, one blue.
Kaizen: "Don't disappoint me… heh."
In the next instant, Kaizen leapt into the air — his gauntlets ignited with blue energy, releasing a shockwave so powerful that the ground cracked beneath their feet.
Jin Yuan and Musukoni barely dodged, the air slicing past them like blades.
Musukoni: "He's using compressed air with his gauntlets. We can't just keep dodging — we need to attack!"
Jin Yuan gave a silent nod.
Both of them rushed forward — Jin Yuan's massive katana slicing through the mist, while Musukoni's twin daggers glimmered under the blue light.
Kaizen caught Jin Yuan's massive blade — between two fingers.
Kaizen: "Too slow! Come on, show me what you've got! I'll enjoy killing both of you for stepping into Shinjukuna-sama's realm!"
Musukoni's eyes narrowed as he analyzed every movement.
"He said Shinjukuna-sama… so he's the one behind everything."
He moved in, striking from behind — his twin daggers connecting in a chain, spinning for a surprise attack. But Kaizen's counter came faster than lightning. His gauntlet-clad fist slammed into Musukoni's chest, launching him through a building.
Jin Yuan gritted his teeth, blood dripping from his mouth, a fresh cut on his cheek.
Jin Yuan (thinking): "He's obsessed with fighting… his gauntlets create shockwaves that nullify our attacks. We can't face him head-on."
Amid the wreckage, Musukoni tried to rise — broken glass and smoke all around him.
Musukoni (weakly): "Yusikuna…"
Flashes of his fallen friend crossed his mind — his smile, his fiery spirit, his promise.
Musukoni (gritting his teeth): "I promised him… I'll keep fighting."
But before he could stand, Kaizen appeared again — a blur of speed. His fist connected once more, shattering Musukoni's ribs and sending him flying into the air.
Then, with monstrous power, Kaizen leapt after him — smashing him down with a brutal overhead punch.
Boom.
Jin Yuan lunged forward, intercepting Kaizen mid-air, swinging his massive blade to throw him back. The impact sent a wave of energy through the area — glass cracking, air trembling.
Kaizen smirked, wiping blood from his lip.
Kaizen: "Not bad… now this is fun."
Below, Musukoni lay unconscious — his promise to Yusikuna echoing faintly in his fading mind.
