Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Has She Returned Too?

Feng Qing stood up, smiling as she looked at Rong Che opposite her. His stature was not tall, slightly slender, with handsome features. His gestures lacked grandeur, with a hint of timidity. Is this the new emperor of the Dayan Dynasty?

Feng Qing examined Rong Che, then turned to look at Rong Ling beside her, with exquisite features, a bearing as upright as pine and bamboo, and natural majesty in every gesture, his mere gaze inciting instinctive fear and panic.

Obviously, this Prince Regent was much more dangerous than the former, so it was better for her to enter the palace first and then find a way to escape.

Inside the grand hall, Rong Ling, tired of further entanglements, said in a deep voice, "Your Majesty, since the two of them got into the wrong bridal sedan, let's just switch them back."

At this, Rong Che's expression changed. Switch them back? Was he to marry this cursed woman? No, he couldn't agree to that.

Before Rong Che could speak, a slightly choked voice suddenly came from behind him.

"Sister."

A figure in a fiery red wedding gown walked over from one side of the grand hall, looking at Feng Qing with tears in her eyes as she slowly spoke: "Sister, was today's event your doing? Did you manipulate things amidst the chaos because you were fond of the Prince and thus climbed onto the Regent Prince's bridal sedan?"

Feng Qing raised her eyes to look at Feng Yao, referred to by others as the First Talent of the Dayan, both talented and beautiful. Feng Qing cast a few glances, indeed finding her quite pretty, though not an exceptionally rare beauty.

However, she was indeed smart, managing to shift all of today's blame onto her in one encounter. Unfortunately, she was no longer her sister.

Feng Qing smiled lightly and said, "Sister, you must be mistaken. It was clearly you who admired His Majesty. How could it be me who admired the Prince? As the eldest daughter of the Marquis Jing'an Mansion, I have hardly ever left the residence. How could I admire the Prince when I've scarcely seen him a few times, while it's always you who talks about His Majesty?"

"Besides, everyone knows my status in the Marquis Jing'an Mansion. Even if I had the intention, I'm afraid I lack the power."

Inside the grand hall, as the woman spoke in a light-hearted tone, the expressions of several people changed slightly.

A trace of panic flashed in Rong Che's heart, and he was exceptionally annoyed with Feng Qing. Wasn't this woman always very timid in the past, scarcely able to utter a few words? What was happening today?

Hearing Feng Qing's words, Feng Yao's face turned momentarily pale, and she was internally alarmed.

How could Feng Qing suddenly change, becoming almost identical to her in the previous life when she became the Empress? Did she too reincarnate?

No, it couldn't be.

Feng Yao focused her thoughts, striving to calm herself. Regardless, she wouldn't let the Empress's position go to her. She was the Empress, the most noble woman of the Dayan Dynasty.

Feng Yao thought, tears streaming down her face: "Sister, how could you wrong me so? Despite how well I usually treat you, you repay kindness with enmity. Besides, which woman in the Dayan Dynasty doesn't admire the Prince and wish to marry the Regent Prince? Yet you claim you don't admire the Prince. How is that possible?"

As Feng Yao finished speaking, everyone in the hall turned their gaze towards Feng Qing.

This time, not only Rong Che and Rong Ling, but even the few eunuchs and palace maids in the hall also looked at Feng Qing, clearly expressing disbelief in her words.

In the Dayan Dynasty, the man that all women most wanted to marry was not the current emperor but the current Prince Regent. So it was very obvious that the eldest daughter of the Feng Family was lying.

Rong Che quickly responded, following Feng Yao's words: "Feng Qing, how dare you! First, you used tricks to get onto the Regent Prince's bridal sedan. Now, seeing your plot exposed, you try and pin this on your sister Feng Yao. Such a heart is punishable..."
