"No, it was exactly one bottle!"
"One bottle?" Con's eyes widened. "The recipe said one cup, not one bottle, bro. I thought you drank the rest. You actually dumped the whole thing in?"
Ned froze. He reopened the recipe screenshot on his phone. It clearly said "one cup." He fell silent.
Ella poked at the black piece of meat on her plate and put down her fork. "So what are we eating tonight?"
"This," Ned pointed at the braised beef.
"This doesn't taste good. I refuse to settle." The ever-strong-willed Ella stood up directly, walked to the kitchen, picked up her phone, and said, "I'm ordering takeout."
Hale stood up too. "Me too." Alex didn't move, but he quietly pushed his plate aside.
Con and Sandy watched the scene, laughing so hard they could barely breathe. "Ned, you've successfully made a dinner that no one in the family can stomach. The 'bad cook' crown has finally found its heir." Con pretended to take a crown off his own head and placed it on Ned's.
