From two different directions, Goku and Obanai attacked the Demon King.
"Stop insisting!" exclaimed Muzan, attacking the two Hashiras.
Suddenly, the floor under Muzan's feet disappeared, and he started falling down. But then, he clenched his fist, trying to kill Nakime from the distance.
"He's trying to kill her!" said Yushiro, still injecting his cells inside the Upper Rank. But then, the three of them landed on another square.
"We're not out yet..." muttered Goku, lying on the floor. Then, with his only eye, he saw the other slayers' corpses. "They must've died with remorse..."
"This crunch... the castle is about to crumble!" said Obanai. "If we don't get out, we'll all die but Muzan!"
Suddenly, Goku got hit on his back once again. But then, he saw that Mitsuri was about to get hit too. "Mitsuri-chan!"
Without hesitating, he threw one of his swords to Muzan. The blade stabbed Muzan in the temple, piercing through the other side of the head.
"That goddammed piece of shit!" exclaimed Muzan. Then, the castle totally crumbled.
Goku was lying on the debris, with his eyes closed. Slowly, he opened his eye.
We're out... But this is no good... We're in the middle of a city! he thought. Rapidly, he got up, grabbing his only remaining sword. "I have to get my other sword back..."
Far away, at Kiriya's place...
"Now Muzan is at a disadvantage!" said Kiriya. "How long is it until dawn?"
"An hour and a half!" replied his sister.
That's too much... Please, Goku-san, everyone... Hold on!
"Caw! An hour and a half until sunrise!" exclaimed Rin.
"We still have time..." muttered Goku. Obanai and Mitsuri are fine, but what about everyone else? And where's Muzan?
Suddenly, a bunch of debris blew up. Muzan appeared again, furious.
"So you're planning to keep me here until dawn..." he said. "If you really think you can do it... bring it on!"
Despite his conditions, Goku didn't hesitate: he rushed towards his second sword and then jumped towards Muzan. Alongside him, from two different directions, there were Mitsuri and Obanai. The three of them cut him, but then Goku realized: the blades trespassed Muzan's body, but somehow, it seemed like they didn't.
"Instant regeneration!" exclaimed the Sun Hashira. "We did cut him, but he already regenerated!"
"You're clever, asshole!" exclaimed Muzan, attacking in every direction, forcing the three Hashiras to jump back. But then, when Muzan's arm was about to fatally wound Obanai, the members of the Demon Slayer Corps arrived, saving the three Hashiras.
"What the..." muttered Goku.
"To the charge! Don't allow him to hurt the Hashiras!" exclaimed a slayer. "How many times did the Hashiras save us? A lot! If it weren't for them, we'd already been dead for a while!"
"No, don't..." tried to say Goku. But suddenly, he spat blood, and his demon form deactivated. "N-no... I can't fight anymore... I need time for my body to close my wounds!"
"The ones who die quickly are lucky," said Muzan. "And the ones who don't need anything to die. I want all of you to see it." Obanai and Mitsuri turned and saw Goku on his knees. On his right eye, a kind of pink-gray tumour started to appear.
"My attacks inject part of my blood when they land. It doesn't turn humans into demons," Muzan announced. "It works the same way as a poison. It slowly provokes destruction and the death of the cells. Unfortunately, he'll need a bit of time before dying. But soon, very soon, Goku Tsugikuni will be dead."
He's right... I'm about to die... thought Goku. I'm fucked up... if I had to die, at least I wanted to die after Muzan got defeated... now not only am I unable to fight, but I'm also useless!
On the battlefield, Muzan had the upper hand against Mitsuri and Obanai. Fortunately, just when Mitsuri was about to get hit, something crushed the attack.
"Sorry, I'm late."
It was Gyomei, who had finally arrived. And he was not alone. Behind Muzan's back, Sanemi slashed him. Then, he opened a bottle of gas and fired them, burning Muzan.

Suddenly, someone grabbed Goku. The boy opened his eye and saw Muichiro, Shinobu, and Rengoku.
"Finally, you have arrived, guys..." he said.
"Don't talk, Gou-kun. Take this," said Shinobu, handing him an antidote. "This will slow down Muzan's poison."
Without hesitating, Goku took the antidote. "You really have an antidote to everything..."
"It wasn't mine. It was Tamayo's."
In that moment, Goku remembered Tamayo.
"Remain here for now, Goku-kun," said Rengoku.
"I'll stay with you," said Muichiro. "Rengoku and Kocho will help the others."
"Just try not to die..." said Goku. Then, he fainted. Finally, the reinforcements had arrived.
