On the other hand, Ryan stood in his darkness said to be his dreamland. He roamed aimlessly. Not even sure of where he was going. He so wished he couldn't sleep and be drowned in such darkness, but what could he do? He was part human. But out of nowhere, a light reached his faced. He turned towards it, there was someone there. But his vision of her was blurry. He could only make her silhouette. Her smiles, her eyes....he felt familiar with it.
His legs took him towards her figure. The closer he got, the more he felt deep connection. He so badly wanted to see her face. Even if it's just a glimpse. But she seemed out of reach each time he moved closer. His pace increased. He glided through the darkness. The faster he went, the more she seemed out of reach. He heard her speak, but he could barely make a word from she said. His heart knocked against his chest as he tried to catch up. He was getting closer. Just a little more.
But then he tripped, and he was falling. Drowning in a endless pit of darkness. He felt stuffy and tried to breathe, but only breathed in water. He tried swimming back up, but couldn't feel his legs and hands. His body was numb. A great force pulled him down. He was loosing air. His throat and lungs right. He struggled, but could barely swim back up. He heard her voice again and he struggled more. That force kept pulling him down.
"You can't be with a her. Stop fighting it!" he heard a rugged harsh voice, but it wasn't his demon. He struggled more, but he was only going down. His eyes went blurry, and the light faded in his eyes.
*....*....*...*
He jerked off from the bed. His breathing ragged, his throat tight. Beads of cold sweat on his forehead. He breathed heavily, trying to catch his breath as he rubbed his chest.
Strange, he thought. Why was he having such.... nightmare? It has been centuries since he had one, so why? How? He couldn't understand. He wiped the sweat of his forehead and made attempt to go to the bathroom.
"Ryan..." he heard his name and he craned his neck. "Please... don't leave me. Please, don't leave me. Come back.... don't go" A frown formed between his brows as he inched closer to her. "Please..." Her head tossed on the pillow, tears seeped from her eyes, and her lips trembled.
"Aria..." he called her. And then shook her slightly. More tears seeped from her eyes as she kept muttering the words over and over again. "Ari...open your eyes" he shook her again. Called out her name and then she jerked up. Her chest rose up and down, her eyes red and welled with tears.
"Aria....* she looked at him. Stared for while like she trying to figure out his face. He saw a sad smile forming on her lips and then she hugged him tightly.
"Ryan...." she began to cry "You didn't leave. I thought I would never see you again"
"It's just another... nightmare. I'm here okay? I would never leave" he told her, as his hands moved in her hair. She cried against his chest, holding his robe really tight. "It's okay. Don't be scared" he wiped her tears gently and urged her to stop crying. She did but wouldn't let go of him. She felt if she did he would disappear.
"Come. I'll pat you to sleep" he said, trying to move her away from his arms. She shook her head against his chest, tightening her hold on him. "You don't want to sleep?"
"No. I'm scared" she said and his jaws clenched. "Please don't me leave me, Ryan"
He pulled her away and made her look at him "Didn't I promise you that I would never leave you? You don't have to be scared of anything. Okay?" she didn't speak. Hot tears only rolled from her eyes and he could only wipe them off.
"Since you don't want to sleep, what should we do?" he asked, but she hung her head low. "Do...you want to fly?" he asked with a smile curving his lips and she immediately lifted her head. She blinked her eyes and his smile widened. He climbed off the bed, pulling her with him to the balcony.
"Tell me where you want to go"
She tilted her head up and thought for a while "China" she beamed and a low chuckle left his lips.
"Alright, get on my back" he made attempt to crouch.
"Wait, are we going like this?" She asked, and he craned his head to see. He almost forgot her nightdress was a bit transparent. He had totally blocked that from his mind to avoid seeing through. Sigh...the torture.
"Okay, go and change then" he said, and in high spirits, she left to change. And he did the same. And then they both snuck out of the house, jumping trees, gliding through the wind, but mostly teleporting. And when they arrived their destination, they just roamed Beijing aimlessly until dawn. Playing around like stray kids without a place to sleep. They went to the beach also.
Arianna sat near the water and put her legs in it. She just liked the feel of the water on her legs. Ryan also joined her, and they laid there watching the stars, and dark sky. She fell asleep there laying on his chest. And so he took her back home. He placed her gently and covered her up her chin. He rubbed her hair and she slept soundly.
