Chapter 77 - Chapter 76: The Three Androids Chose Not to Fight and Ran Away

After watching Android 16 completely hold Vegeta back, Android 17 said, "18, let's go too! Let's take out everyone except Vegeta."

"No, 17. Number 16 just said that we should prepare to retreat," Android 18 replied truthfully, telling him what Android 16 was thinking.

Android 17 hadn't expected Number 16 to actually retreat. To put it bluntly, he was running away.

Even though 17 was upset, there was nothing he could do, because after all, 16 was the strongest!

If 17 were the strongest, everyone would have to listen to him. But the truth was, he wasn't.

Unless he went against 16 directly, which would be stupid—because 16's fighting ability was far superior to his.

Yamcha said dejectedly, "I thought after Vegeta's combat power increased, he'd be able to destroy the androids. But it turns out there's an even more powerful one!"

"There's nothing we can do about it. That big android is just too strong," Krillin shook his head helplessly.

It could be said that Android 16 deceived them all.

The android had no ki signature, so only after watching him fight could they roughly analyze his true combat power.

Vegeta powered up and kneed 16 in the chin, forcing him to take several steps back. But 16 wasn't hurt at all.

Vegeta clenched his fists angrily.

"You're just a pile of junk! Do you really think you can defeat me, Super Vegeta? Don't even think about it. I am the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta!"

At this moment, Vegeta's pride was boiling. He simply couldn't accept such a crushing difference.

For two years he'd undergone merciless training every single day.

And yet, he still couldn't defeat a so-called android? That was what infuriated him the most.

Number 16 ignored Vegeta's insults. He had no intention of fighting Vegeta forever—he was only buying time. Vegeta had no idea!

Most of the time, 16 focused only on defense. There was a reason for that—he simply didn't enjoy fighting.

Vegeta grew more irritated and roared, "Android, will you fight me properly or not? What's the point of just defending? Do you look down on me, the Saiyan Prince?"

"That's not my intention. I just don't want to engage in a boring battle," 16 answered calmly.

"A boring fight?" Vegeta repeated in disbelief. His anger flared.

Grinding his teeth, he shouted, "Then today I'll completely destroy all of you androids!!"

Vegeta unleashed even more power, charging at 16 with a furious barrage of punches and kicks.

But in his eagerness, Vegeta exposed an opening. 16 countered with a heavy punch, sending Vegeta flying dozens of meters away.

"Don't just stand there! Let's get out of here!" 16 suddenly shouted.

Without hesitation, he took off into the sky. Android 18 and 17, who had been preparing to retreat anyway, immediately followed.

Vegeta watched them flee and was about to give chase, but Piccolo stopped him.

"Forget it, Vegeta. Even if you catch up now, you won't be able to defeat them. In fact, you might end up dying at their hands."

Piccolo's words were harsh, but they had to be said. Otherwise, Vegeta would never take the situation seriously.

"Piccolo, do you look down on my current power? Or do you plan to fight me yourself?" Vegeta asked with a confident smirk.

Piccolo replied coldly, "Think what you want. But the reality is those androids have left, and that's what's best for us. If we keep fighting them, we'll be the ones who lose."

"Hmph!" Vegeta snorted. Deep down, he knew Piccolo was right.

Aside from the big android, Vegeta didn't take the other two seriously—but their strength still couldn't be underestimated.

If the battle had dragged on, the chances of losing were very high.

No one had expected that the big android would be so powerful.

The Z Warriors flew over to regroup.

Krillin looked in the direction the androids had gone and said worriedly, "I wonder if those three will destroy the Earth…"

"It's not impossible," Piccolo answered seriously. "We have to prepare for the worst."

Yamcha looked up at the sky, "If only Goku were here. Where the hell did he run off to at such an important time?!"

"Stop complaining! It's because we're too weak that we always rely on Goku," Tien Shinhan snapped.

He thought about how he used to be on the same level as Goku, but now? There was no comparison.

Vegeta dropped out of his Super Saiyan form, back to normal. He tapped his fingers, thinking.

Judging from the battle, if he wanted to defeat that big android, he needed even more power.

He had already discovered a more advanced transformation—one that would boost his combat strength again.

But its drawback was obvious: his speed would plummet.

And if he couldn't land a hit, then power meant nothing.

He needed to improve further. Otherwise, there was no way forward.

And Vegeta hated it. Hated that Kakarot always showed up like some savior.
