Chapter 3 - 2. Getting 'some' points

Ryuen found himself back at the same place he was standing before he found himself in the meet-up space with his other selfs who had reincarnated in other worlds.

And there was no a piece of paper in his pocket.

A single use Death Note.

Ryuen decided to not use it for now.

If this time, it was getting copies of atmost two abilities, and next year it is supposed to be trade, what after that?

If he was writing the story, he would have made it a multiversal war.

Yuri with Death Note didn't get anything, so maybe it was to prevent her from getting too overpowered?

Putting his suspicions aside for now, he focused on what was ahead.

Sudo was eating instant noodles, sitting just outside the convenience store.

And Ayanokoji and Horikita were present there too, bickering. And Sudo seemed ready to beat up Horikita. And then, Horikita left.

So it doesn't seem like any time passed when he was there.

Starting voice recording on his phone, Ryuen headed out as he saw some upperclassmen approach them.

He went to the vending machine just outside, and took out a can of buttermilk.

"Hey, you guys first years? This is our spot."

As Sudou continued inhaling his ramen like an animal, three boys called out to him and Ayanokoji.

"Who are you? I was already here! You're in the way. Get lost!"

Sudo really has a short fuse huh?

"You hear this guy!? 'Get lost,' he says. What a cocky little first-year punk. Pfft!"

The three laughed in Sudou's face.

Sudou shot up, slamming his noodle cup against the ground. The noodles splashed everywhere.

Ryuen was disgusted by this behaviour. He decided that he is going to expell Sudo.

"'First-year punk,' huh? You tryin' to make fun of me, huh?!"

If not for wanting to get points right now, and camera, he would have joined the second years in beating Sudo.

"You're awfully mouthy, considering we're second-year students. We already put our bags here, see?"

With those words, the second-year punks put down their bags and taunted Sudo.

"See, our stuff's here. Now, beat it," one of them said.

"You got a lot of guts, asshole!"

Sudou didn't back down, unfazed by being outnumbered. It looked like fists were going to fly at any moment.

And if that happened, Sudo would obviously get extorted of his points.

"Oh, wow, scary. What class are you in? Wait, never mind. I think I know.

You're in Class D, aren't you?"

Ryuen smirked on the inside and got another buttermilk. The second-years finally slipped.

"Yeah, so what?" Sudou snapped.

The upperclassmen exchanged glances and burst into laughter.

"You hear that? He's in Class D! I knew it! It was a dead giveaway!"

"Huh? What's that supposed to mean? Hey!"

As Sudou barked at them, the boys grinned and stepped backwards.

"Aw, you poor things. Since you're 'defective,' we'll let you off the hook, just for today. Let's get going, guys."

"Hey, don't run away! Hey!"

"Yeah, yeah, keep on yapping. You guys'll be in hell soon enough anyway."

As they left, Sudo left too.

Ayanokoji looked at the cameras, then at Ryuen, who was gulping down the fourth can of buttermilk.

Ryuen looked back and said, "What are you looking at? Clean up your friend's mess or scram."

He gestured at the fallen cup noodles.

"Uh, yeah."

And Ayanokoji actually started cleaning the mess Sudo made.

Wow. He is really pathetic.

Finishing his fifth can, having drunk a whole litre of buttermilk in total, Ryuen threw the can in dustbin and went his way and stopped the recording.

Next day, instead of going into his own class, he headed to class 2-C first thing in the morning.

That behaviour probably wasn't of class A or B. And if those guys were from class D themselves, they wouldn't have mocked Sudo for being from class D.

"May I come in sir?"

"Yes?"

As Sudo entered the classroom, he saw the three from yesterday. His guess was correct.

He also looked at the number of seats.

37.

"So, what brings you here? Are you a first year?"

"Yes sensei. Would you mind stepping out for a bit? I have a deal to make with class 2 C."

The sensei looked at a guy and girl, most likely the class representatives, and nodded.

"Alright."

Saying that, the teacher went out of the class, and Ryuen shut the door.

"So, what deal are you talking about?"

A guy with glasses asked him.

"I am here to sell an audio. The price is 20,000 points per month, per person."

"Are you retarded? Or do you think we are retarded? Who will buy anything with such absurd price!?"

"I promise you that it is worth it. I will make it exclusive for you guys and destroy all other copies. I will not even talk about it with others."

"Alright. First show us what you are selling."

"Sure."

Ryuen smirked and played the recording.

And after reaching a certain point, everyone froze.

"So, do you want to buy it?"

"Umm, would you mind stepping out for a bit so that we can discuss it?"

"I will wait outside for 2 minutes."

Saying that, Ryuen went outside the class.

He is giving them a beneficial deal.

If three students were to get expelled, they will loose 900 class points, and 90,000 private points per month per student.

Even if only one student who directly said implied that class D is going to see hell gets expelled, they will loose 300 class points and 30,000 private points per month per student.

And he is only asking for 20,000.

He didn't want to ask too much on the point of extortion. Because this class probably can't afford much, and asking too much would mean cutting into Nagumo's extortion.

He is going to take it slow for now. He hasn't read much from later half of year 2 of the novel and he doesn't remember most of it, but Ayanokoji was really hyping Nagumo since he controls the entirety of second years.

Well, Ayanokoji also tried to hype Horikita, and second years just might be frauds.

Two minutes passed, and Ryuen entered the classroom.

"So?"

"Do whatever you want. There is no way we are buying anything."

Ryuen scoffed at the guy trying to act tough.

"So why did you guys need to discuss about it? You want to buy it or not? 3, 2—"

"We will buy it!"

Ryuen smirked and said, "Good choice."

So, Ryuen got 37×20,000 = 740,000 points, and will receive the same amount each month.

The contract was also done. He deleted everything in front of them after sending the audio to the class representative.

"It was a pleasure having business with you."

As soon as the deal was done, the class representative changed his tone.

"Do you think you can just walk away after threatening your upperclassmen?"

"I am confused. When did I threaten anyone?"

"Do you think just because you aren't calling it extortion means that it isn't extortion? Extortion can get you expelled. And even if you aren't, you have made the entire class your enemy."

"What the hell do you mean!?

He cornered Ryuen.

"Just be careful where you walk. Don't be so arrogant."

But that made Ryuen smirk.

Second years are really just a bunch of frauds.

"Thank you for threatening me. You just made President's job easier."

"W-what do you mean!?"

"Figure that out yourself. Well, I have classes, so I am going. Bye bye, Senpais~!"

Saying that, Ryuen left.

Let them think that it is the work of Horikita'd brother.

And he made two posts on the school forum.

—Class 2C upperclassmen threaten freshman!

—This school has a stalking feature!?

And then, Ishizaki posted the same thing Ryuen sent him.

—Does that mean upperclassmen will stalk those they threatened and beat them up?

—I saw them bullying a Red hair first year near convenience store.

Just because he is kind enough to not fully extort them doesn't mean he doesn't have counter-measures against a bunch of frauds.

And that he will extort just this much money from them.

So instead of going back to his class, he went to Student Council to file a complaint.
