Chapter 864 - Chapter 350: Arranged Matchmaking (2)

Oh, that's the expression!

"It seems you haven't decorated the room yet?" Vivi took off her coat and handed it to the little elf beside her.

Harry watched as the little elf disappeared with Vivi's coat, saying, "Yes, that was Little Sirius's idea. He said he originally wanted Kreacher to decorate it, but then thought it would be better for us to do it to give it a holiday feel."

"Godfather has thought it through." Vivi nodded, then glanced back at the absent-minded Jemma: "Jemma, it's the holidays; you don't need to think about work."

"Oh, oh." Jemma lifted her head in confusion, nodded, and put the files she was holding on the table, but once she sat on the sofa, she started daydreaming again.

"Look at you, squeezing her to this point." Harry said helplessly, shaking his head, and then looked at Cassandra, "How's life in Vienna?"

"Better than watching you get cozy with your new girlfriend, Potter," Cassandra lazily stretched, and as she moved, her small shirt couldn't cover her body, revealing a sliver of her snow-white belly.

"I don't have a new girlfriend." Harry waved it off, saying, "Stop making things up, Kathy."

Cassandra glanced at the calm Annie sitting in place, then at Harry, and sneered contemptuously.

She didn't say anything, yet it seemed like she had said it all.

"By the way, where's Godfather?" Vivi glanced around the room but couldn't find Little Sirius.

"He should still be working overtime at the Ministry of Magic." Harry checked the time and said, "He should be back soon."

Vivi stood up and walked over to Harry.

"Come with me, Harry." She said softly.

"Oh." Harry stood up and followed Vivi to a corner.

He scratched his head and asked, "What's up?"

"It's nothing, just..." Vivi thought for a moment and said to Harry, "Remember the day before yesterday when you mentioned something about Godfather during our call?"

"What was it?" Harry thought for a moment and recalled, "Oh, I know, it was about Phineas's trouble, right?"

"Yes." Vivi looked back at Miss Fari, who was still deep in thought, and asked in a low voice, "What do you think of Miss Fari?"

"Miss Fari?" Harry looked up at Miss Fari, scratched the back of his head, and said, "I'm not very familiar with her, but... do you mean introducing her to Godfather?"

Harry wasn't trying to be evasive; he really wasn't familiar with Miss Fari. Their only interactions were in first year when Miss Fari challenged him and in second year when she helped him handle an emergency.

Oh, she also helped him gather information about the man-woman Voldemort among the Slytherins.

"Yes." Vivi draped her arms over Harry's shoulders and whispered, "I think she's a good choice, Miss Fari is talented and beautiful, at least worthy of Godfather, don't you think?"

"That's true, but the problem is..." Harry grimaced and said, "But Godfather is quite a bit older, wouldn't it seem like an old cow eating young grass? Or maybe... uh, hmm..."

"No, it wouldn't." Vivi covered her mouth, chuckling, "I've heard that Professor Lupin and Miss Tonks got together, right? Aren't they much older than each other? And speaking of generations, Miss Tonks is Godfather's niece, and Lupin is Godfather's good brother, and that's a generational difference there."

"True." Harry smiled with understanding, "But will Miss Fari agree?"

"She quite likes Godfather." Vivi brushed her thumb over the scar on Harry's forehead, "Oh, that's why I'm confident about Miss Fari, she's a hopeless face fanatic."

Harry looked at Vivi with a blank expression, "You mean I'm not handsome enough?"

"Oh, babe." Vivi cupped Harry's face with a smile, "You know, I'm not a shallow woman; appearance doesn't mean much to me..."

"So you're saying I'm not handsome enough." Harry pouted.

"Babe." Vivi ruffled Harry's hair, chuckling, "Some words can be hurtful when spoken, you need to understand me."

Harry took a deep breath...

Never mind, never mind.

Don't bother with her!

"I'm a bit hurt, Vivi." Harry made a classic pouty face, "I'm really hurt, it feels like my heart is stuffed."

Vivi's eyes sparkled, as she smiled slyly and leaned in to whisper something in Harry's ear.

Harry's head shot up, and he asked in surprise, "Really?"

"Lucky you, you little rascal." Vivi snorted, "Haven't you been bothering me for a long time?"

"Actually, I do think I'm not handsome enough." Harry tapped his shoulder, humming.

The promise Vivi made was something Harry couldn't refuse.

When they returned, Little Sirius had come home.

Seeing everyone, Little Sirius clapped his hands happily.

"Everyone's back, that's great."

Harry glanced at Little Sirius, then whispered to Vivi, "Will Godfather agree?"

"I don't know." Vivi tossed back, "You can ask him."

Harry took a deep breath.

The dinner was made by Kreacher, the usual dishes, and the taste was alright.

After all, Walburga had forgiven Little Sirius, so Kreacher wouldn't continue with nonviolent noncooperation.

After dinner, Harry asked Little Sirius to talk privately in the study.

"What's the matter?"

Little Sirius thought Harry wanted to ask about how Annie could integrate into the family—he was internally groaning, don't ask me, I'm just an Animagus, not a Dog-headed Enchantress...

"It's about you." Harry said from the sofa, "I want to talk to you about something important in your life..."

"Something important in my life?" Little Sirius was puzzled; he didn't know what important matter he needed to discuss with his godson.

"Yes." Harry cleared his throat, trying to ease the awkwardness of matchmaking for an elder, "Do you know Miss Fari? The Slytherin Miss Fari, who's working as a secretary for Vivi now."

"I know." Little Sirius nodded, "I have some impression of her, a very pretty girl, diligent and reliable—you're not going to tell me you've taken a liking to her, are you?"

At this point, Little Sirius had a slightly horrified expression.

Harry: ...

What do you take me for?

"No." Harry tried to organize his words, "It's just... Vivi and I think you should settle down, you see—Professor Lupin found his place, as his good friend you shouldn't fall behind, so after consideration we think Miss Fari is quite nice, what do you think, are you interested?"

"Am I interested?" Little Sirius froze for a moment.

He recalled Miss Fari, carefully considered her age, and then quickly shook his head: "I don't think so, Harry, she's not even twenty yet, and I'm nearly forty, it's ridiculous! No way!"

"Well, listen to me, Godfather." Harry provided examples and reasoning, "Didn't Professor Lupin also find a much younger girlfriend? And she's your niece?"

"Remus is Remus, and I am me." Little Sirius rubbed his face with his hands, "No way, that's too out of line... Besides, why would she be interested in me? I'm so old..."

Harry figured there might be a chance.

If Little Sirius outright refused, it would mean he wasn't interested.

But now... Little Sirius only used the age difference as an excuse, and said that Miss Fari probably wouldn't be interested in him, which was intriguing.

(Sorry, I was a bit tipsy around nine last night, thought I'd take a quick nap, but ended up oversleeping...)
