For the past few days after that fateful encounter when he saw the fog's rage, Leon had never stopped theorizing.
Even while he was working on the Death-Fog Turbines, even while he was creating his Chimera Soldiers, he never stopped thinking of the fog; of its origin, of its cause and of its purpose.
It was hard to ignore it when this same fog was always present, every second, every minute, and every hour of the day.
It was easy to mistake it as something natural and unchanging, but Leon knew that it was not.
Afterall, for the past 8+ months of staying in Neo-Tokara, the fog also accompanied him. It was just that unlike here, it only came at night, spreading to the farthest reaches of the world.
That would have suggested that it was natural, but natural things don't come to life and slaughter everything in sight, right?
