Ethan nodded. It seemed the timeline was repairing itself in some ways. "Then we're comrades now. I look forward to working with you."
"Yes. So, I would like to ask you to 'instruct' me on how to have sex right now."
Xenovia was dead serious, but her words made even the experienced girls blush. Ethan froze. He thought he had dodged the bullet, but the airheaded Xenovia was surprisingly persistent. It wasn't that he was unwilling—she was gorgeous, busty, and a perfect Holy Sword compatible user—but with the other girls glaring at him, even Ethan couldn't just say yes and start a daytime orgy. However, saying no was also out of the question.
Rias eventually stepped in to save him. "Ahem, Xenovia."
"Yes, President? Is something wrong?"
"We'll discuss dual cultivation later. Take Irina and get familiar with the house first."
Xenovia didn't see the connection between sex and house tours, but she wasn't stupid. she let the topic drop and followed Irina upstairs. Once they were gone, the girls in the living room dispersed, though they gave Ethan some very strange looks.
Ethan hurried to catch up with Rias. "President, what's the deal with Xenovia and Irina?"
"You should ask them yourself," Rias smiled, her mature, sultry face showing a hint of admiration. "As expected of the man I chose. One meeting and you managed to hook two talented beauties."
Two? Ethan's intuition was right. Irina, the self-indulgent girl with the "starry eyes," also had a hidden agenda.
Normally, Ethan would have devoured them both immediately. But now, with Levally, Xuelan, and Isabella all on the verge of breakthroughs, he needed to prioritize reaching God-rank himself. He had no idea how to achieve that evolution. Without a guide, he could spend a lifetime banging his head against the wall.
He listed four potential mentors in his mind:
Sirzechs: He had likely broken through long ago but kept it hidden. He wouldn't withhold secrets from Rias's man, but Ethan preferred a female mentor.
Jin Toujou: The former God of War. His strength was definitely God-rank.
Chisato Hasegawa: The school nurse. She was secretly one of the Ten Main Gods. Approaching her was risky since she hadn't revealed herself.
Liara: A female devil with a name similar to Rias. According to Katerea, this platinum-blonde beauty was likely God-rank but was under constant surveillance. If Ethan could reach her, she would be the best candidate. And if she couldn't teach him, she would be a perfect test subject for his dual-cultivation powers. "Riding" one's master sounded exciting.
Ethan followed Rias to the second floor, stopping in front of a bedroom with a new nameplate: Irina & Xenovia. He knocked.
"Coming~!" A cheerful voice rang out, and Irina's cute face appeared. When she saw Ethan, her smile vanished instantly.
They stared at each other for a long time until Ethan rubbed his nose. "Uh... aren't you going to invite me in? I'm here for Xenovia."
Irina's face darkened. She wanted to slam the door in his face, but remembered her mission. "Hmph. Jerk who can't appreciate my beauty." She turned and stomped into the room.
Ethan followed, closing and locking the door behind him. The room was large but had only one bed. Xenovia's story was much like his memory: the Church had cast her out because she could no longer provide "faith" after learning God was dead. So, she joined the Devils.
But why was Irina here? Ethan sensed she had already been reincarnated as an Angel. Usually, she wouldn't join the Devils until much later.
"You two sleep together?"
"Yeah. We always did at the Church and on missions."
"I see. There are plenty of empty rooms if you want your own space," Ethan said, glancing at the pouting Irina. Many girls in the mansion shared rooms by choice, finding comfort in each other during the lonely nights when Ethan was busy elsewhere.
Before Irina could snap back, Ethan cut to the chase. "Xenovia, why the sudden request for sex? Do you like me?"
The blue-haired beauty blinked. "Because I want to try sex, and you are the most ideal candidate. As for liking... well, I don't dislike you."
Ethan nodded. "Is that all? I don't like being lied to."
