Although this power essentially served no purpose other than suppressing illicit third parties and bestowing various blessings upon legitimate spouses, Hera nevertheless retained it. This demonstrates the depth of her hatred for her philandering husband and his lovers.

"Do you realize what you're doing?" Lilith laughed angrily, her smile as cold as a knife. "Have you ever heard of a divine consort who is not the true wife of the God King , but merely a status symbol ? What divine consort isn't more important in the eyes of her King than any other woman? Your Majesty King Ming , you are humiliating me, making me the laughingstock of the other gods!"

"Where are you departing from, Your Majesty ?" asked Lilith , smiling without showing any trace of the previous unpleasantness.

" My dearest mother, is there anything you need me for?"
